Porsche Drives the 993 GT2 Road and Race Cars Back to Back – Video

Two air-cooled legends.

The Porsche 993 was the last of the air-cooled 911s. After Porsche discontinued the 993-generation for the 996, the company switched over to water-cooled engines. The fact that they were the last of the air-cooled 911s has made them an instant classic. While the 993 generation was the last of the air-cooled, it was also the beginning of the utterly insane 911 GT2.

Porsche recently had a facebook contest allowing fans to decide the cars they would drive at Silverstone. The 993 GT2 was the clear winner, and was driven around the track in both road-going and racecar form.
