The Exclusive Bentley Continental Series 51 Exposed

The bespoke design experience inspired by the iconic John Blatchley.

In September of 1951, John Blatchley established the first official styling department for Bentley in Crewe, England. Designer of legendary models such as the MK6, R-type Continental, and both the S-Series and T-Series, Blatchley shaped post-war Bentley design.

Named after the first year that the styling department was established, the Bentley Series 51 package allows for a unique, custom-tailored design experience for the Bentley Continental model range. A collection of ready-made designs is available, created by Dirk van Braeckel’s team of Bentley designers. Numerous three-tone interiors have been designed to emphasize the contrasting leather hides and stitching.

A large range of high-quality materials is available for the interior, and is created with a tremendous attention to detail. Non-indented leather is available for diamond quilting in the three-tone interior with contrast stitching and piping for the seats and door trim. Color matching overmats and boot carpets receive a contrasting binding for a thorough interior design. A limited edition Amboyna veneer is available only with the Bentley Series 51 package. Engine Spin aluminum dashboard options are available with bespoke Series 51 treadplates to complete the custom-tailored interior.

The Bentley Series 51 package gives the Continental line an imposing and prominent appearance. A two-tone paint scheme is available to compliment the interior design, and in classic Bentley fashion features a color split with one color flowing from hood to trunk. Large 20-inch, 14-spoke polished Diamond wheels are fitted to the Continental Series 51, and feature a dark Bentley centercap. Large ‘51’ badges adorn the front fenders, and distinguish the Series 51 from the Continental range.

The Series 51 package is currently available for the Continental GT, GT Speed, GTC, and GTC Speed models. Bentley Continental Series 51 pricing starts at $192,750 for the GT coupe model.
