Keep your eyes peeled – The McLaren MP4-12C is in the US!

A British invasion!

The McLaren MP4-12C is the latest super car to storm North America. While it may not be coming over in droves, it’s slowly taking to the streets and being met by a sea of camera phones.

The McLaren MP4-12C is without question one of the more exotic cars that you’ll see in the United States and Canada. McLaren brought the cars in through a port in Baltimore, Maryland, and released them into the wild in cities such as New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Dallas.

Each McLaren MP4-12C generated quite a bit of interest as they made their way down North American streets for the first time. Each is powered by a 3.8-liter, twin-turbocharged V-8 engine that pumps out 592 bhp and 443 lb-ft., allowing it to accelerate to 60 mph in as low as 3.1 seconds. Who said the British don’t make rockets ships?!

To celebrate the super car coming over to North America, McLaren made a video showing all of the MP4-12Cs driving in their respective cities and coming over on the boat from England.
