Watch a Koenigsegg Agera R go 250 MPH on the Nürburgring

Seriously Fast.

The Koenigsegg Agera R just might be one of the fastest cars in the world. Not the fastest when it comes to top speed – although it does give the Bugatti Veyron a run for its money – but one of the fastest in terms of power, speed, and handling on the racetrack.

Dale from A Bridge to Gantry took a ride in a Pagani Zonda F Clubsport at the Nürburgring and followed the new Koenigsegg Agera R alongside a Jaguar XFR on the track. The Zonda F and the Agera R were pretty close to each other for most of the lap around the ‘Ring, but at the last straightaway, the Agera R lit it up and put all 1,140 horsepower from its 5.0-liter V-8 engine to work as it sped to an astonishing 249.54 mph!

We all knew that the Koenigsegg Agera R was fast, but not that fast! On top of it all, the Agera wasn’t even being driven by a professional test driver. Bard Eker of the Eker Group, whom also own 49 percent of Koenigsegg, was behind the wheel of the super car. Not to take anything away from Eker, but just imagine if a professional racecar driver was behind the wheel!
