Shred some tires with the Manhart MH1 S Biturbo

MH1 S Biturbo

Continuing to improve on the 1 M Coupe.

After the new BMW 1 Series M Coupe was unveiled, Manhart Racing quickly began to develop products and modify the sports car to improve upon its already inspiring performance. The MH1 Biturbo was the first to kick things off and the latest iteration is the Manhart MH1 S Birturbo that brings output closer to the 500 horsepower mark.

The new Manhart MH1 S Biturbo pushes the output of the twin-turbocharged inline-six engine even further. The first step for the German tuner was to install a new carbon fiber airbox and air guide to help suck air into the new charge air cooler more efficiently. A pair of new downpipes helps to reduce backpressure and improve turbocharger responsiveness while a larger water cooler helps to keep temperatures regulated for sustained performance. Bringing it all together is a new ECU tune that increases output by 125 horsepower for a total of 465 ponies and 443 lb-ft. of torque in a linear power curve.

Due to the increased speeds that will be achieved regularly by the Manhart MH1 S Biturbo, the German tuner installed a variety of lightweight aerodynamic upgrades. A new MHR carbon fiber front spoiler and motor cowl generate downforce and redirect air to the inline-six cylinder while a carbon fiber trunk lid and diffuser set keeps things planted at the rear. A new set of carbon fiber side mirrors ties in with all of the other sporty carbon fiber goodies.

Finishing things up on the Manhart MH1 S Biturbo is a chassis tuned for better handling dynamics. The BMW M3’s axles that have carried over into the 1 M Coupe are fitted with lightweight Manhart Racing Concave One forged wheels in a 9.0 x 20 front and 10.5 x 20 rear setup with 245/30 ZR20 and 295/25 ZR20 Continental Sport Contact 5P high-performance tires for better grip. A new KW Clubsport chassis upgrade is paired with a Manhart Racing alignment to take full advantage of the more aggressive suspension setup.

The interior on the featured Manhart MH1 S Biturbo 1 Series M Coupe was outfitted with BMW Performance front seats with MHR logos. An MHR display system that shows relevant information ranging from torque output to acceleration and temperatures is the centerpiece of the dashboard.

The new Manhart MH1 S Biturbo is currently available as a complete upgrade system or customers can order individual accessories from the program for their BMW 1 Series M Coupe. Pricing has not been released.
