A 600+ HP two-door cruiser.

There’s something about the big Mercedes-Benz coupes based on the S-Class chassis that are so incredibly fascinating and sexy. They’re large, powerful, and command attention while also boasting some impressive performance. The CL 63 AMG (W 216 pre-facelift) is just one example and is a force to be reckoned with on the boulevard after undergoing a transformation by Famous Parts in Germany.

Famous Parts started things off with the CL 63 AMG by installing an aerodynamic and imposing Black Edition V1 Wide Body Kit that dramatically alters the design of the sports car. The kit features a new front bumper and side blade with large air intakes, vertical LED daytime running lights, and a new hood with air outlets. New side skirts help to continue the newly widened design of the front and rear fenders and improve upon the aerodynamics of the coupe. The rear is finished off with a new bumper with diffuser insert and a trunk spoiler to improve downforce. The entire CL 63 AMG was then given a full Frozen Gray Matt Champagne Metallic wrap and black-tinted side windows and rear windshield.

To fill in those extended fenders, the Famous Parts CL 63 AMG was equipped with a number of chassis upgrades. New Brabus Monoblock E wheels were installed in a wider 10.5 x 21 fitment compared to the stock AMG wheels, and equipped with 265/30 R21 front and 305/25 R21 rear Continental Sport Contact high-performance tires for added grip. The wheel fitment also includes new H&R spacers so that they wheels sit flush with the widened fenders. The final touch is an electronic optimization of the ABC chassis that lowers the ride height for a better aesthetic design and improve the handling dynamics.

While all of those modifications make for a stunning ride, Famous Parts wasn’t done with the Mercedes-Benz CL 63 AMG. The team upgraded the 6.2-liter naturally-aspirated V-8 and installed a new exhaust system with optimized backpressure and retuned the ECU to increase output by 85 horsepower for a total of 610 ponies driving the rear wheels.

The entire transformation of the Mercedes-Benz CL 63 AMG was undertaken by Famous Parts in Germany. All of the featured parts are currently available from the German company.
