The new Supercharged Väth C63 AMG Black Series Coupe

Because the C63 AMG Black Series needed a supercharger.

The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series Coupe was already a mind-bogglingly brutal car that punished racetracks and turned knuckles white. Its 6.2-liter was tuned to its limits and its aerodynamics were honed in for downforce. It couldn’t get any better, right? Well, Väth thought so, and installed all sorts of goodies that will make you lose your mind at the touch of the throttle.

To start things off the German tuner gave the hand-built 6.2-liter V-8 an all new “V63 Supercharged” compressor system that gives the engine a whole new ceiling when it comes to performance. The new supercharger kit is comprised of a water intercooler system, fuel cooler, an ECU tune, and a new exhaust system with special manifold, sport catalytic converters, an X-pipe with sport tailpipes, and a valve control system with adjustable sound. That’s all good for a whopping 756 horsepower and 590 lb-ft. of torque lighting up the rear tires and a top speed that’s been pushed back to 217.48 mph (350 km/h).

In order to handle all of that extra power, the Vath C63 AMG Black Series was given a modified chassis. The suspension was upgraded with new components that allow for adjustable height (20 to 65 mm lower), compression, rebound, and hardness settings for a fine-tuned setup for a given track. A new Vath high-performance braking system helps bring things to a halt and features 405 mm discs up front and stainless steel lines. Hiding those from view are new in-house three-piece forged wheels with a black finish in a 9.0 x 20 front and 11.0 x 20 rear setup with 265/30-20 and 305/25-20 tires.

AMG engineers were able to optimize aerodynamics on the C63 AMG Black Series Coupe from the factory, so Vath stuck with minimal exterior and interior upgrades. A starless front grille in black stares ahead on the super car while the interior has a leather steering wheel with optional wood or carbon faces the driver along with a 400 km/h speedometer. After all, it’s all about the driving experience, right?

All of the upgrades pictured on the C63 AMG Black Series Coupe by VAth are available from the German tuning company. The V63 Supercharged kit is priced at 49,310 Euros play VAT.
