While automakers are rolling out their newest models at the 2013 Geneva International Motor Show, quite a few aftermarket companies such as Gemballa will be looking to make a splash. One car that will definitely garner a great deal of attention is the new Gemballa GT Spider based on the new McLaren MP4-12C Spider model. The new conversion focuses on the aesthetic aspects of the super car, but still ensures that driving will be even more enjoyable.

The new Gemballa GT Spider package starts out with an all-new aerodynamic body kit that mounts directly onto the factory mounting points for a superb OEM fitment. The entire kit is made from carbon fiber that provides the car with high-strength components without any noticeable weight increases. A new front bumper and spoiler combo help to visually lower the car and feature a pair of elliptical air intakes to create a greater sense of speed. New side skirts are installed to provide a visual complement to the massive side air intakes while a rear valence gives the MP4-12C a new, aerodynamic appearance.

The new Gemballa GT Spider will also feature a set of new GForged-one ultra-light forged wheels that may be larger than their stock counterparts but do not increase weight at the wheel hub. The wheels will be installed in a 20-inch front and 21-inch rear setup and be offered in “Black Magic” or “Gunmetal” finishes with optional gloss-turned diamond cut spokes. Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires in a 245/30ZR20 front and 305/25ZR21 rear size will help grip the asphalt with ease. The McLaren MP4-12C Spider conversion will also give owners the option to have their brake calipers painted in any color they choose.

With the top down on sunny days, it’s hard to improve upon the driving experience from the interior, but Gemballa is looking to do that with its new array of luxury refinements. Customers will be able to choose from a host of bespoke leather and alcantara in a variety of colors along with custom-colored gauges.

The new Gemballa GT Spider will make its official appearance at the 83rd Geneva International Motor show in March and be available for € 47,166.00 (+/- 62,000 USD).
