One of the things that Bentley is known for is its superb craftsmanship and quality. Countless hours of work and effort is poured into each car using only the finest materials, to create a beautiful piece of automotive artwork both inside and out. Now, Bentley is looking to enrich this experience even more with the company’s first-ever luxury fragrance range for men.
The centerpiece of the new Bentley fragrance collection for men is the ‘Lalique for Bentley Crystal Edition’. The new collaboration with the French glassmaker showcases the handcrafted quality featured by both companies in their products and their commitment to luxury and design.
“Bentley and Lalique have a similar history. Both companies were founded almost 100 years ago. Both stand for craftsmanship and tradition, but also for luxury, lifestyle and innovation. To create a fragrance together is to capture the essence of our skills and our vision in a bottle,” says Silvio Denz, CEO of Lalique.
The ‘Lalique for Bentley Crystal Edition’ is a beautifully styled crystal flacon with the iconic “Flying B” Bentley mascot in its dynamic form. The fragrance was created by Mylène Alran from the French perfume house, Robertet, and is comprised of a mixture of woody and leather notes that evokes images of the handcrafted interior of a Bentley model. Special orris butter brings a lively charm to the fragrance.
Alongside the ‘Lalique for Bentley Crystal Edition’ will be ‘Bentley for Men’ and ‘Bentley for Men Intense’ fragrances, created by Nathalie Lorson, renowned French perfumer from Firmenich, using the finest raw ingredients to create unforgettable aromas. Lorson used cedar and patchouli along with fine wood and leather notes for the ‘Bentley for Men’ fragrance, while the ‘Bentley for Men Intense’ boasts a more vibrant quality due to the infusion of aromatic African geranium. Both fragrances from the Bentley Fragrance Collection will be presented in an elegantly-shaped bottle with knurled ring at the top, mimicking the luxurious qualities of the marquee’s automobiles.
The ‘Lalique for Bentley Crystal Edition’ fragrance will be available in April of 2013 at select retailers and be limited to just 999 pieces. Pricing for the Eau de Parfum will be set at £3,000 / €3,500 for 40 ml. The ‘Bentley for Men’ and ‘Bentley for Men Intense’ will be sold at select perfumeries and department stores around the world in April of 2013 and also be available in Hair & Body Shampoo and After Shave Balm.
