Getting ready for the big show.

Sunday, June 30th is right around the corner and is the official race day when competitors from around the world will be speeding up the Pikes Peak as fast as they can, hoping to achieve glory as the air gets thinner and thinner.

Sebastian Loeb and Peugeot are looking to make quite a splash at the 2013 event with their 208 T16 Pikes Peak racer, boasting 875 bhp and 651 lb-ft. of torque from a twin-turbocharged V-6 engine. The racecar was a no-limits project for the French engineers as they were able to create the car of their wildest dreams without any restrictions. They ended up with an all-wheel drive, 1,929-lb. car that can go from 0-62 mph in 1.8 seconds and hit 150 mph in just 7.0 seconds.

All of that sounds good, but unless you have the best driver behind the wheel, it’s all going to go for naught. That’s why they brought in the highly-skilled Sebastian Loeb, who will work his magic on the Colorado mountain with the Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak. Now the car is all decked out in its racing livery for us to enjoy, so take a peek at the gallery!
