Novitec Torado Takes the Aventador to a New Level of Performance

Novitec Torado Aventador

A great way to start things off.

The Novitec Group has quite the catalogue of car tuning, especially from the Italian automakers. For Ferrari there’s Novitec Rosso; for Maserati there’s Novitec Tridente; and Alfa Romeos get the bigger Novitec Automobile. Now the German aftermarket tuning specialists are opening up Novitec Torado – the branch of the Novitec Group that specializes in Lamborghini automobiles because the Italian super cars were feeling a bit left out, and their first car is the Aventador LP700-4.

The new Novitec Torado Aventador is quite the statement for a new branch of the German company. Engineers and designers spent countless hours creating an upgrade program that would improve virtually all aspects of performance and style, and they have their sights set on the 1,000 horsepower mark in the near future.

The Lamborghini Aventador may be a super car with its extreme, wedge-shaped Italian design, sharp angles, and sleek figure, but Novitec Torado takes things to a new level thanks to its wind-tunnel-designed aerodynamic body kit that focuses on aerodynamic efficiency over style. The kit starts things out up front with a new fascia with central blade and redesigned air intakes while air ducts and new air vents are positioned on the hood before the windshield. Large vented side skirts and special carbon fiber mirrors emphasize the wedge-shaped, angular design while larger air intakes for the engine and brakes are integrated into the rear fenders. Providing downforce for the rear are two styles of wing spoilers and a diffuser that can be expanded into a two-part diffuser if desired. A new set of air vents help to keep the hot rear cool and dissipate heat.

What made the additional, downforce-inducing aerodynamics necessary was the upgraded 6.5-liter V-12 engine packed in behind the cockpit. The first step is a traditional tune from Novitec Torado that bumps power up to 700 bhp with remapped ignition and injection parameters, while the second stage that is currently in development involves a massive 1,000 horsepower output thanks to a new bi-compressor system. Customers have a wide range of options when it comes to the exhaust system that ends in a unique three-and-a-half end pipe style where the two center pipes are connected. Customers can choose from a stainless steel system or an extremely lightweight Formula One-derived ICONEL system that is 57.3 lbs (26 kg) lighter. Both exhausts feature new sport catalytic converters and can be had with or without a flap-controlled system.

The sharp-edged styling is reflected in the chassis where handling and styling both get a bit more knifelike. The Novitec Torado Aventador gains a set of lightweight NL1 forged wheels with a five twin-spoke design in a variety of finishes. The wheels were installed in a staggered setup to emphasize the wedge-shaped design and muscular character of the super car, and measure 9J x 20 up front and 13J x 21 at the rear with 255/30 ZR 20 and 355/25 ZR 21 Pirelli PZero tires for better grip. But the German team wasn’t finished there; they can install a set of sport springs that lower the car by 30 mm or a performance-oriented sports suspension with adjustable height and damping settings.

The excitement doesn’t end with the styling and performance goodies on the Aventador, the interior is a sporty and powerful place to be for driver and passenger. Novitec Torado enlisted the help of the Swiss audio specialists at Revox to create a system that is refined and potent. Clear-coated carbon fiber is installed across the dashboard, door panels, and instrument cluster, while customers can pick from a large array of leather and alcantara designs and stitching.

The Novitec Torado Aventador is currently available with all of the aforementioned upgrades. Customers can also wait a bit for the four-digit, power output of the upcoming bi-compressor engine upgrade from the German company to fulfill their addiction to speed.
