Novitec Rosso Gives the Ferrari F12Berlinetta Even More Power and Carbon Fiber

The next step for the Italian exotic.

After the Ferrari F12Berlinetta was released, the team at Novitec Rosso got right to work designing and creating upgrades for the new grand touring supercar from Italy. Right from the factory, the F12Berlinetta was already impressive, but Novitec Rosso found a few ways to make it better with their first upgrade package. Now, the German company has unveiled a new package that takes things a step further.

The Ferrari F12Berlinetta is capable of flying well into triple-digit speeds right off the factory floor. While the stock aerodynamics are more than capable of handling aerodynamic forces at those speeds, Novitec Rosso wanted to improve upon them even more, so they went to the wind tunnel and got to work.

The entire aerodynamic package is made from lightweight carbon fiber and can be painted with a clear-coated matte finish or high-sheen sealer. Up front the fascia of the Ferrari F12Berlinetta is more dramatic with a three-piece package that includes a new spoiler lip, central blade, and integrated air ducts to reduce lift and improve cooling. New surrounds for the front brakes, a hood insert, and new front grille add a bit of tenacity to the supercar’s face.

Channeling air towards the rear is a set of new rocker panels that are also designed to calm airflow between the axles. Contrasting the paint scheme is a pair of black side markers and carbon fiber mirror covers, lending to a more athletic look. At the rear, downforce is created by a subtle trunk spoiler and a new diffuser with fins to improve high speed stability. In terms of style, the Novitec Rosso Ferrari F12Berlinetta is finished off with a set of carbon fiber surrounds for the rear fog lights and taillights, which are also available in black.

The reinforced aerodynamic properties and increased downforce properties allow the Ferrari F12Berlinetta to reach higher speeds, especially when paired up with the new engine upgrades. Novitec Rosso took the naturally-aspirated 6.3-liter V-12 and installed a new ECU software tune with optimized ignition and injection mapping along with a full high-performance exhaust system with a remote-controlled butterfly valve available as an option.

The two upgrades result in a total of 774 horsepower at 8,500 RPM and 528 lb-ft. of torque 6,300 RPM and engine speed is increased all the way to 8,900 RPM. This allows the Novitec Rosso Ferrari F12Berlinetta to reach a top speed of 214 mph.

Putting all of that power to the road is no easy task, and Novitec Rosso went to their range of lightweight forged wheels to get the job done. The featured wheel model for the F12Berlinetta is the forged NF4 wheels with five double-spokes that are lighter than the factory units. The wheels were fitted in a staggered 9.5J x 21 front and 12.0J x 22 rear setup to emphasize the wedge-shape of the car, and equipped with 255/30 ZR 21 and 335/25 ZR 22 high-performance Pirellis. Customers can also order the three-piece forged NF3 wheels with five double-spoke design and polished flanges in the same sizing and tires if desired.

Finishing off the new wheel fitment is a set of sport springs that reduce ride height by a total of 40 mm and optimize handling further. To prevent any hassle caused by the lowering of the supercar in parking garages or with speed bumps, Novitec Rosso can install a front-axle lift system that can raise the car to overcome obstacles and automatically lowers at 80 km/h.

All of that speed and style is more than enough to put a smile on any driver’s face, but those that want more have the option of a full interior redesign. Customers can order from a full range of leather and alcantara with a variety of trims and accessories including carbon fiber paddle shifters.

The Novitec Rosso Ferrari F12Berlinetta is available as a full upgrade package or with individual options. Pricing for all of the upgrades has not been released.
