German Special Customs Gets Wide with the Mercedes-Benz M-Class

German Special Customs Widebody ML

Big, Brawny styling for the German SUV.

The Mercedes-Benz M-Class SUV has become a competitive model in the automaker’s ever-expanding lineup. The range of ML models still offers a bit of sport even though it may not be the smallest SUV around town. But, that big and beefy design is what the team at German Special Customs took advantage of with their newest ML widebody program.

Even without engine upgrades, the German Special Customs widebody ML has some power and muscle. Right off the bat, the ML SUV is more commanding due to its new front fascia that features enlarged air intakes to feed the engine and brakes with cool air, and a pair of integrated LED daytime running lights. A front spoiler helps to reduce lift at the front axle and is worn in a contrasting silver color. A new hood helps to improve cooling and reduce temperatures in the engine bay. The intimidating bodywork runs towards the rear as a set of front and rear extended wheel arches that give the SUV some visual muscle while carbon fiber mirror covers add a touch of sport. The rear features a contrasting bumper bar in silver with diffuser flanked by a pair of tailpipe covers for the in-house stainless steel exhaust system.

Putting the muscle behind those extended fenders is a new set of wheels and a lowered suspension for the German Special Customs widebody ML. The German tuner installed an electronic lowering module for the air suspension kit that ensures the wheels sit flush inside the wheel wells. The tuner opted for a set of in-house, seven-spoke alloys with satin black centers and polished barrels to match the color scheme of the ML SUV. The wheels were installed in a wide 10.0 x 22 fitment with 295/30 R22 tires for added grip.

Inside, the premium level of luxury found in the Mercedes-Benz M-Class SUV can be complemented by a wide range of leather, alcantara, carbon fiber, and other accessories such as a 350 km/h speedometer.

All of the upgrades shown in the Mercedes-Benz ML widebody can be purchased as a complete package or individual accessories for all gasoline and diesel engine variants of the SUV. Pricing has not been released.
