DMC Exotic Car Tuning Shows off its Stage 3 LP988 Edizione GT Aventador

Carbon fiber, everywhere.

The team at DMC Exotic Car Tuning has quite a bit of experience with the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 even though it’s relatively new to the marketplace. They’ve already launched the Stage 1 Molto Veloce, the Limited Edition Stage 2 Spezial Version, and even previewed the LP988 Edizione GT. Now, the Stage 3 Edizione GT has finally been launched and it has all the lightweight carbon fiber you could dream of along with a pair of snails and exclusive ownership process.

The first two stages for the Lamborghini Aventador from DMC Exotic Car Tuning were extreme in their own right, but the new LP988 Edizione GT is just from the engine to the aerodynamics and price tag.

The first thing that grabs attention on the DMC LP988 Edizione GT is the carbon fiber body kit. The new kit includes a set of commanding front and rear bumpers with the latter receiving a gigantic eight-fin diffuser and central insert. A new engine hood replacement includes a set of air scoops to help reduce temperatures. Lightweight carbon fiber side skirts help to move airflow away from the forged wheels and optimize high-speed aerodynamics. At the rear also sits a gigantic GT-spoiler that can be manually set to three different angles to create varying degrees of downforce. All sorts of flaps and diffusers have been worked into the new aerodynamic package for maximum cooling, downforce, and high-speed stability.

All of this lightweight body work found in the new aerodynamic package is designed to fit the OEM mounting points and can be removed and returned to the factory spec without damage or modification. The entire LP988 Edizione GT aero kit can be purchased individually for $89,990 and optionally be installed remotely at a DMC partner.

In addition to the new body kit, the Stage 3 LP988 Lamborghini Aventador comes strapped with a pair of turbochargers feeding the V-12 engine with plenty of boost. The new pair of snails and their corresponding ECU tune provide an overwhelming amount of thrust compared to the Stage 1 and Stage 2 upgrades that used individual intake throttle plates, new fuel pumps, fuel lines, modulators, and fuel injector nozzles. All this power is sent to four new ten-spoke forged wheels and a stiffer suspension kit that help to carve up corners with ease.

Three trims are available inside from DMC Exotic Car Tuning on the LP988 Edizione GT. The small package boasts a new button and trim package; the medium packs on a new steering wheel; and the interior is completely redesigned in the VIP package, which requires shipping to the DMC headquarters in Germany. Customers can choose from a wide range of Italian leather, carbon fiber, and other materials for their custom-tailored cabin.

The new DMC Exotic Car Tuning LP988 Edizione GT Lamborghini Aventador package is available for $288,888 for the entire kit and requires the car to be shipped to Germany to complete. Ownership isn’t as easy as writing a check either – prospective buyers must apply for the package and each unit is limited to just only color and/or style to preserve exclusivity. No two cars will be alike, so if your color choice has been purchased already, you’re out of luck.
