Showing that vehicles are always an important investment.

The automotive marketplace can often times be a strange world when it comes to financial investments. Any type of vehicle is an investment whether it be personal or business, and predicting the value of a given vehicle over a certain period of time is often difficult. Unless it’s a rare classic or collector’s car, oftentimes vehicles are some of the worst investments someone can make.

The depreciation and value of vehicles equipped with custom aftermarket upgrades and modifications are often at the bottom-end of the spectrum when it comes to value over a period of time. However, according to the quarterly figures released by the automotive valuation experts at CAP, the vehicles from A Kahn Design and The Chelsea Truck Company perform much better than the industry average.

“When tracking vehicles fitted with Kahn packages, it was found that annual deprecation of the enhancement, over and above the base car, was comparable to the (each) car itself,” said CAP Black Book Editor, Tim Bearder. “These figures undergo on-going research by the CAP editorial department and its findings are updated every quarter.”

The results found that the Chelsea Truck Company Land Rover Defender XS 110 had an uplift in residual value of 21-percent on top of standard CAP Black Book used values, while the Project Kahn Range Rover Evoque RS250 was rated with an impressive 22-percent uplift.

“The figures published by CAP underline our absolute commitment to quality in each project we undertake,” said Afzal Kahn, Kahn Design’s Founder and Creative Director. “Our aim has always been to enhance not only the aesthetics, but the value of each of the iconic vehicles we work with, and I’m pleased to see this confirmed by leading independent experts. The analysis also strengthens our position as the leading bespoke vehicle brand and gives a compelling argument for investing in our Chelsea Truck Company Defender models along with the Project Kahn Evoque.”

The results reflect the dedication of the British company to improve not just the overall styling of vehicles, but to add value and quality to them as well, making them a safe investment.
