Get that Downforce with the Porsche 911 Turbo Aerokit

Porsche Exclusive 911 Turbo Aerokit

Wings and Things.

Performance is engrained in the history of Porsche and in every single vehicle that it makes. That’s especially the case with the 911 Turbo and 911 Turbo S supercars. They’re taking that performance even further with an OEM Aerokit by Porsche Exclusive that not only adds some visual athleticism but boosts downforce for even better stability and handling.

High speeds are the norm for the Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S models, especially with their 500+ horsepower, twin-turbocharged flat-six engines. The new Porsche Exclusive Aerokit takes that performance to the next level by optimizing aerodynamics even further than the factory parts.

The goal in the development of the new Porsche Exclusive Aerokit was to generate more downforce without negatively affecting the coefficient of drag that the production model achieved. Engineers put the 911 Turbo Aerokit through extensive testing in the factory wind tunnel and on the circuit race track at the Porsche Development Center in Weissach to achieve the perfect balance.

The results were nothing short of impressive. The 911 Turbo Aerokit at 186 mph in the ‘Speed’ setting shows an increase from 37.5 lbs. to 57 lbs. of downforce. In the Performance setting, the Aerokit goes from 40 lbs. to 331 lbs. of downforce without negatively affecting the car’s drag coefficient.

The focused and balanced aerodynamics work their magic thanks to the help of a new front spoiler panel up front. At the rear of the Porsche 911 Turbo and 911 Turbo S, a completely redesigned rear lid with fixed trailing edge and side winglets, and a retractable rear wing with adjustable angle. A font lip with side fins further help in keeping the supercar planted and emphasize speed while at rest.

The new Porsche Exclusive Aerokit for the 911 Turbo and Turbo S models can be ordered in either body color or high-gloss black. In the body color version, is painted to match the body. With the black version, the new rear intake fins, and factory side skirts and rear apron are all painted in high-gloss black to provide a healthy dose of contrast to the body.
