G-Power Boosts the Output on the E9X BMW M3

The supercharger gets Turned Up.

G-Power has had quite the run with the E9X-generation BMW M3. Now that the new M3 and M4 are here, most of their efforts have shifted. But, they’re not leaving their V-8-loving friends out in the cold, either. Their SK II CS supercharger system that was previously available gets a big update with the new ‘TU’ version and is available to customers equipped with the previous supercharger setup.

The new G-Power BMW M3 supercharger conversion boasts a 20-horsepower increase over the previous model thanks to an all-new software program for the ECU that has new mapping for the fuel injection, ignition, variable-valve timing, and boost pressure while focusing on fuel economy and emissions. The software maps have been totally re-written over the past 12 months and thoroughly tested on the dyno and real-world driving situations to ensure maximum reliability.

The S65, 4.0-liter V-8 engine is the beneficiary of the new G-Power supercharger system. The new and improved SK II CS TU supercharger system has an improved throttle response and more mid-range torque for a healthy power band. After the upgrade is installed, the engine produces a whopping 630 horsepower at 7,800 RPM and 435 lb-ft. of torque at 3,900 RPM. This allows the BMW M3 to reach 62 mph in just 4.0 seconds and reach 124 mph in 10.5 seconds. Top speed is pushed all the way past 205 mph.

But G-Power is more than just sheer power. The E9X BMW M3 also benefits from upgrades that improve upon the overall performance of the sports car. A set of new ceramic brakes with six-piston calipers and 396 mm ventilated discs sitting up front while four-piston, 380 mm ventilated calipers sit at the rear. The new ceramic brakes also cut down the overall weight at the wheel hub lending to better overall handling and stopping power.

Sitting in front of those powerful brakes is a new set of G-Power Hurricane RR forged wheels with a diamond-cut finish. The double-spoke, 20-inch wheels are shod in 245/30 ZR20 and 295/25 ZR20 Michelin tires at the front and rear, respectively that are capable of handling the sheer power produced by the new supercharged V-8. Sharpening up handling even further are new G-Power GM3-RS fully-adjustable coilovers that reduce the ride height by 30 mm and allow for the damping rates to be altered.

The new G-Power SK II CS TU supercharger system is currently available for the E9X-generation BMW M3 for 13,500 Euros for the complete conversion. Owners that are already equipped with the older supercharger system can get the update for 1,668 Euros. The additional titanium exhaust can also be installed for 5,316 Euros. G-Power also offers their full wheel and tire setup for 6,981 Euros, the suspension for 2,057 Euros, and the front ceramic brakes for 13,461 Euros while the rear pair is 11,778 Euros.
