Bringing the off-road to Geneva.

Earlier, the team at A Kahn Design turned a few heads with their new Land Rover Defender Flying Huntsman 110 WB 6×6 Concept. After its debut in Geneva, the mighty off-road machine is turning quite a few more heads and rightfully so.

There’s a lot to be excited about with this big, brawny British off-roader. The hood is 400 mm longer, the rear cabin has been extended by 1,000 mm, and the body 150 mm wider. The rake of the windshield has been increased as well. A beefy square-sectioned widebody kit made from hammer-formed aluminum panels shows off its strength. A full X-Lander front bumper and grille stares ahead with confidence.

Then there’s what’s under the sheet metal. A GM LS3 V-8 engine producing approximately 430 bhp through a six-speed automatic gearbox with push-button controls makes for some serious off-road excitement. The A Kahn Design Land Rover Flying Huntsman 110 WB 6×6 Concept also boasts a more powerful braking system, off-road suspension, and quad cross-hair exhaust system.

“The Defender is probably the most iconic and well-loved British vehicle in existence – I believe even more so than the Mini” commented Afzal Kahn, CEO and creative director of the Kahn Group.

“The fact that Land Rover are retiring it is an absolute tragedy – it’s one of my top three all-time favorite vehicles.”

“With the Huntsman Concept I set out to create something fashionable, iconic and revolutionary which carries on the spirit of the Defender. These days it’s not what you wear, it’s what you drive. It’s a truly British icon in the same way the Wrangler is to the US, the G-Class to Germany or the Land Cruiser L70 to Japan. It’s instantly recognizable – if you saw one on the Moon, you’d know it was a Defender.”

The new Land Rover Defender Flying Huntsman 110 WB 6×6 is only the start. Other variants including armored versions and different engines such as the Ford Coyote V8 and V8 Ford XS are also being considered as additional options.

The Land Rover Defender Flying Huntsman 110 WB 6×6 is currently on display alongside the other A Kahn Design creations at the Geneva International Motor Show in Hall 6, stand 6338.
