Nothing special, but it’s a wagon.
The new W205-generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class hasn’t been out too long and the specialists at VAETH are already working their magic with a C180 CGI T. The newly-tuned version might not shatter any power figures or get your blood flowing, but it has all the right stuff in all the right places. Plus, it’s a wagon so the versatility and added performance should get at least some enthusiasts excited.
The folks at VAETH have created the V18 tuning kit and applied it to the 1.6-liter inline-four cylinder engine with the goal of providing a bit more get-up-and-go. The modest output was bumped up to 192 horsepower and 221 lb-ft. of torque, allowing the wagon to reach a top speed of 140 mph. Also helping up the power on the Mercedes-Benz C180 CGI T is a sports exhaust system that includes a downpipe with 200 trimetal stainless steel cells for 5- to 8-percent more power. A two-pipe stainless steel axle-back exhaust system with dual 115 x 85 mm tailpipes add a sportier sound and look as they protrude from either side of the rear bumper.
To make the Mercedes-Benz C180 CGI T more nimble, VAETH added on a new suspension setup that lowers the overall ride height by 30 mm. A new set of titan-colored, three-piece forged VAETH wheels measuring 8.5 x 20 up front and 10.0 x 20 at the rear are shod in corresponding tires and add a more dynamic touch to the wagon.
Visually, the Mercedes-Benz gets a bit sportier thanks to some new carbon fiber parts. VAETH designed a new carbon fiber front spoiler to reduce lift at the front axle. At the rear, a new carbon fiber diffuser seamlessly integrates the new quad exhaust system. Inside, drivers can benefit from aluminum foot pedals and black velour floor mats with VAETH logos.
The new VAETH upgrades featured on the Mercedes-Benz C180 CGI T are all available as individual modifications or as a complete package.
