Getting knocked down a few pegs.
The Nissan GT-R has pretty much been crowned the king of the straight-line drag race. Its twin-turbocharged V-6 engine and all-wheel drive instantly grab pavement and send it to otherworldly speeds faster than you can imagine.
So when a Nissan GT-R with upgraded turbochargers, E85 fuel conversion, beefed up Jacks Transmission, and software tune good for 700 whp lined up next to a Nissan 370Z, the race was over before it even started…right?
But that 370Z was packing something special as well. It’s 3.7-liter V-6 was outfitted with a Fast Intentions twin-turbo Stage 2 setup pumping out 14 PSI of boost pressure, a CJM Fuel System, and E85 conversion for 670 horsepower at the rear wheels.
So, when the Nissan GT-R driver slammed the throttle and started to pull away slightly, he gave a cocky wave signaling his victory… or so he thought. The 370Z quickly sped past to a shocked GT-R driver.
After that, they lined up once again only to achieve the same result.
Don’t get too cocky with your cars, folks.
(Also, don’t ever race on public roads in traffic)
