The latest in the Flying Huntsman coach-built division.

In case you haven’t heard, the team at A Kahn Design has expanded their automotive efforts into the Flying Huntsman division that creates coach-built, custom-tailored vehicles that are nothing short of impressive. The 2015 Geneva International Motor Show played home to a few of their new prototype models such as the Flying Huntsman 105 Longnose and 110 WB 6×6. Now, the Flying Huntsman 105 Defender Pick Up prototype is hitting the asphalt.

As the first of many prototype models, the new Flying Huntsman 105 Defender Pick Up prototype is big, bold, and extraordinary. The pickup version of the Land Rover Defender saw an extra 15 inches added to its overall length, 400 mm of which comes up front. A bolder look is provided by the 150 mm extended width showcased through the new fenders and wheel arches with exposed bolt apertures.

And that’s only part of the coach-built equation. The Flying Huntsman 105 Defender Pickup features a completely new fascia thanks to a new front bumper replacement with bumper lights, stainless steel sump guard, shadow chrome headlights, X-Lander grille, and hood release cable.

Aside from the dominating extended fenders, each side of the 105 Defender Pickup features new side vents with mesh stainless steel and a pair of steps for convenience. At the rear, a purposeful bumper has two mud flaps on both sides that integrate the stainless steel exhaust outlets. Inside of the bed sits the spare wheel with gold striped CTC semi-rigid cover behind the cab.

Beneath those massive fenders and wheel arches sit a set of the Kahn Defend 1945 Retro wheels measuring 8 x 18 at the front and rear with a matte black finish and proper set of off-road tires.

Inside, the prototype Flying Huntsman 105 Defender Pickup is all about custom-tailored comfort. The entire interior from the GTB Sports seats to the headliner, dashboard, center console, doors, and more are covered in Artico leather with various stitching patterns. Even the sun visors get the leather treatment. Making things a bit more exciting than they already are for the driver is a set of vented and machined aluminum foot pedals, three-spoke Kahn billet steering wheel, and new tachometer. A Churchill clock sits front and center, and displays the proper time to drive – all the time!
