One of the coolest runs of the day.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed was last weekend and there are tons of video clips from each car running up the hill. That, of course, is a good thing, because you can easily waste all day watching these cars show off in front of the packed lawn.
One of my personal favorites this year was the Renault 5 Maxi Turbo with Jean Ragnotti behind the wheel. The former rally driver piloted the Renault 5 Turbo to victories at Monte Carlo and two Rallye de France races in the early 1980s, meaning that he knows all about these odd French hatches.
He was right at home in this Renault 5 Maxi Turbo, spinning, sliding, and speeding through the hillclimb course to a cheering crowd.
Ragnotti doing 360’s in a Renault is how things should be.
