G-Power has recently expanded from their BMW roots into the world of Mercedes-AMG and their wide range of high-performance vehicles. The latest program takes the Mercedes-AMG S63 to the next level of performance with a plug-and-play unit and some new lightweight forged wheels.
The 5.5-liter, twin-turbocharged V-8 packed under the hood of the Mercedes-AMG S63 packs quite a punch in stock form, but G-Power was able to squeeze even more performance out of it thanks to their newly-developed plug-and-play module. The G-Power Bi-Tronik 5 V1 external ECU control module integrates into the factory CAN-BUS system and is installed via a simple wiring harness.
The new Bi-Tronik 5 V1 module allows the engine to operate under factory settings until the driver demands full throttle, where the mapping is then altered for maximum performance. Under normal driving conditions and only prior to the optimum engine temperature being reached, the Bi-Tronik 5 V1 system is dormant. If the oil or water temperature is exceeded, the module will also go offline. The factory diagnostic and safety protocols are not affected either.
With the new G-Power Bi-Tronik 5 V1 module, power rises up to 705 PS (695 hp) at 5,000 RPM and 737 lb-ft. of torque from 3,000 to 5,000 RPM. This allows the luxury sedan to reach 62 mph in just 3.8 seconds from rest.
In addition to the tuned engine, the Mercedes-AMG S63 also gains a new set of G-Power forged wheels. The lightweight aircraft-grade aluminum alloy Hurricane RR wheels reduce weight for better overall performance and style. Up front, the new Hurricane RR wheels are fitted in a 9.0J x 21 setup with 265/30 R21 tires while the rear comes in with a larger 10.5J x 21 size with 295/30 ZR21 tires. Customers have the option to choose from either Jet Black with diamond cut spoke finish, Gun Metal Grey, or Stardust Silver.
The new G-Power Bi-Tronik 5 V1 module is available for 5,797 Euros while the Hurricane RR forged wheels and tires are priced at 7,643 Euros.
