Fall is here and winter is right around the corner, but that doesn’t mean that you still can’t have some fun with your F12 BMW M6 Convertible. The team at G-Power has unveiled their newest tuning program for the drop-top grand tourer that boosts performance and style.
The 4.4-liter, twin-turbocharged V-8 engine inside of the F12 BMW M6 Convertible is packed with power and potential. G-Power’s engineers know a thing or two about forced induction gained from their decades of experience with ASA superchargers that are very similar to the turbochargers used in BMW engines. This has allowed them to create custom-tailored software programming that reliably increases power and performance, while tailoring each tune to the customer’s wishes for throttle response and delivery characteristics.
G-Power developed the Bi-Tronik 2 software tune with custom programming for the BMW M6 Convertible in two different stages. The first, Stage V2, includes the tune as well as the choice of 200-cell racing catalytic converters or the complete removal of the part to improve backpressure. A total of 700 horsepower and 667 lb-ft. of torque is created in Stage V2. The more powerful Stage V3 includes the custom Bi-Tronik 2 tune and a complete titanium exhaust system with quad silencer and link pipes with resonators. The exhaust cuts backpressure and sheds 26.5 lbs. total, while helping to produce a whopping 740 horsepower and 719 lb-ft. of torque.
The BMW M6 Convertible equipped with the Stage V3 kit from G-Power is capable of reaching 124 mph from rest in just 10.7 seconds and hitting a top speed in excess of 186 mph thanks to the G-Power V-Max increase.
G-Power can also boost performance and add some style with their Hurricane RR forged alloy wheels on the BMW M6 Convertible. The lightweight wheels measure 21 inches in diameter and are shod in 255/30 ZR21 front and 295/25 ZR21 Michelin sports tires. Each set of wheels can be finished in the standard Jet Black, Gun Metal Grey, and Stardust Silver, or customers can opt for a special color if they so desire.
The new range of G-Power upgrades for the F12 BMW M6 Convertible is currently available in a range of packages.
