With a 30-second commercial during this year’s Super Bowl costing about $5 million just for the spot, advertisers better come up with a pretty good message. Audi’s commercial seems to have hit it out of the park.
Starring a retired astronaut longing for the days of missions to the moon, he is surprised by his son and his Audi R8 V10 plus. After getting behind the wheel, he is reminded of his days piloting a spaceship to places never before reached by mankind.
All this while David Bowie’s ‘Starman’ is playing in the background.
It’s perfect.
