Who needs a top to have fun?

Shortly after Novitec Torado worked their magic on the Lamborghini Huracán Spyder, the Maranello-tuning wing of the brand is doing the same with the new Novitec Rosso Ferrari 488 Spider. The summer-inspired super car has it all from carbon fiber aero to forged wheels, engine tuning, and even a custom-tailored cabin to make driving even more of a thrill.

The transformation begins with the skin of the Ferrari 488 Spider with the new Novitec Rosso carbon fiber aerodynamic kit that was designed in a wind tunnel for maximum effectiveness. Air first hits the new front spoiler lip, air intake surrounds, and side flaps on the front fascia, improving cooling and reducing lift. As it moves towards the rear, it’s cut by the carbon fiber mirrors and sills that visually lower the super car.

At the rear, the Novitec Rosso Ferrari 488 Spider generates downforce through the spoiler lip that sits above the newly-installed diffuser and carbon fiber taillight surrounds. If customers want to dial up the downforce even more, they can opt for the rear aerofoil upgrade that stands out even more. New black side markers and third LED brake light completes the visual upgrades.

Hitting the pavement are two choices of lightweight forged alloy wheels. The Novitec Rosso Ferrari 488 Spider can be outfitted with NF4 alloys in a staggered 9.0 J x 21 front and 12.0J x 22 rear setup with sticky 255/30 ZR21 and 335/25 ZR22 Pirelli PZero tires. Customers can also opt for the three-piece Novitec Rosso NF7 forged alloys in the same size.

In addition to the new forged wheels, Novitec Rosso can also give the Ferrari 488 Spider a hydraulic lift system that doesn’t affect the factory damper adjustability. With the new hydraulic system, the touch of a button raises the front axle by 40 mm to overcome obstacles and avoid any damage. Upon pressing the button a second time or hitting speeds of 80 km/h, the system automatically lowers.

In terms of performance, the Novitec Rosso Ferrari 488 Spider packs quite a punch thanks to the in-house N-Tronic control modules and new exhaust. Customers can choose from a variety of exhausts with or without electronic sound management, 100-cell sport catalytic converters, and be made from an ultra-lightweight INCONEL construction as an option.

Armed with the new software and exhaust upgrades, the Novitec Rosso Ferrari 488 Spider produces 772 horsepower at 7,950 RPM and 658 lb-ft. of torque from 3,250 RPM. This allows the open-top exotic to reach 62 mph in 2.8 seconds and hit a top speed of 213 mph.
