The BMW i8 was unlike anything else on the road when it was first unveiled. Today, it’s still a unique hybrid sports car roaming the streets and thrilling drivers. Although it’s been out for a number of years, the team at German Special Customs is keeping it fresh with their new visual enhancement program.
The new plug-in-hybrid sports car is much more confident from top to bottom thanks to German Special Customs. The front fascia gains a new bespoke front spoiler as well as a replacement kidney bean grille featuring a smooth finish as opposed to the vertical bars on the stock vehicle. The new fascia only tips the scales at 6.0 lbs., showing the brand’s dedication to performance.
The carbon fiber theme continues along each side of the BMW i8 with new German Special Customs side skirts extending outwards. Even the roof and spars gain a glossy carbon fiber finish to draw some attention. To complete the body upgrades, project partners, handWERK-folien, installed a matte grey wrap with blue accents throughout.
Adding to the overall presence and confidence of the German Special Customs BMW i8 is the new set of COR Wheels. The two-piece forged wheels measure 8.0 x 22 up front and 9.0 x 22 at the rear, and feature a metallic cool blue finish to match the subtle exterior highlights. Finishing off the fitment is a new set of H&R sport springs that reduce the ride height for a flush stance.
German Special Customs completed the BMW i8 project by having their team of craftsmen give the interior a full blue and black leather and alcantara upholstery with carbon fiber trim pieces.
