700+ Horsepower Wimmer 911 GT2 RS

Posted on January 7, 2011 by .

Pure Porsche insanity.

German tuning company, Wimmer Rennsporttechnik Solingen GmbH, has taken the most powerful 911 offered today and packed it with even more power. The limited-production Porsche 911 GT2 RS gains a number of engine modifications that push it past the 700-horsepower threshold.

The twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter flat-six receives a sport air filter, retuned ECU, tuned throttle valve, optimized turbochargers, and a flip-controlled sport exhaust system with sport catalytic converters. The upgrades result in a monstrous 703 horsepower and 597 lb-ft. of torque – up 83 horsepower and 86 lb-ft. of torque over the stock model.

With the added power, the Wimmer 911 GT2 RS hits 62 mph in just 3.3 seconds, 124 mph in only 9.5 seconds, and can reach a top speed of 221.21 mph (tires depending). Now that’s FAST.
