The Snowmobile Porsche GT3.
The Porsche 911 GT3 has a unique sound system not found in other cars on the road – a wailing flat-six engine and screeching tires. It’s not often that the stock audio system of the GT3 is mentioned, and if it we’re up to us, there wouldn’t be one. But for some audiophiles, that just doesn’t cut it, which is why the German audio and electronic experts at Magnat have outfitted the GT3 with 2,100 watts of sound.
The stock 911 GT3 can be optioned with a nine-speaker, 235-watt Porsche audio system. Sounds pretty good, considering that it is a track car, right? Wrong. Magnat has fitted the sports car with a 2,100-watt sound system designed specifically for the interior of the GT3. All of the stock loudspeaker brackets have been upgraded and overhauled to provide better sound blasting qualities. New Magnat Selection-series loudspeakers with anodized PP membranes, high performance voice coils, and one-inch textile tweeters have been fitted and provide clean, clear audio bliss. Magnat has also installed a home cinema-quality 10-inch subwoofer with down-fire casing. The entire system is completed with a five-channel, 2,100-watt Magnat amplifier.
If the audio doesn’t make you melt into your seat, the new interior refinements will. The door trim, center console, and dashboard are covered in Alcantara. Even the sport seats offer comfort, as they are furnished in leather and feature quilted alcantara inserts.
Complementing the Magnat audio system is a new 911 GT3 tuning package from WImmer RST. Called the RS step 3, the package includes new engine electronics and a full exhaust system with catalytic converter and optimized suction tubes. These upgrades help increase output to 462 horsepower and 332.6 lb-ft of torque, sending the GT3 to a top speed of 197 mph (317 km/h). The package also includes new OZ Crono HLT by CT wheels measuring 8.5 x 19 up front and 12 x 19 at the rear with 235/35-19 and 305/30-19 Yokohama Advan Sport tires.
The full Magnat Porsche audio, interior, and performance package is currently available. Pricing has not been released. And no, the GT3 does not come with the girl.
