O.C.T. Tuning’s Supercharged Audi R8 4.2 FSI

Who needs a V-10 when you have a supercharged V-8?

Austrian/Swiss tuner, O.C.T. Tuning has taken the 4.2 FSI engine in the “base” Audi R8 and designed a new compressor system to give it more power than its V-10 powered sibling.

The new supercharger system for the Audi R8 V-8 consists of an entire engine upgrade package. The “Black Compressor” is fitted with a CNC machined aluminum holding system, a Goodyear tension pulley, custom suction system, internal overflow-overpressure system, crankcase vent system, and modified toothed belts. Reducing backpressure is a new stainless steel exhaust that also gives the 4.2 FSI a more aggressive voice. A new ECU tune helps ensure that the new supercharger system works in conjunction with the other upgrades.

After the compressor system is installed, the supercharged Audi R8 produces 565 horsepower and 413 lb-ft. of torque. This added power enables the R8 to accelerate to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds, and 155 mph in under 24 seconds.

The OCT tuning supercharged Audi R8 4.2 FSI upgrade is currently available. The supercharger system comes standard with a one-year warranty with no mileage limits. The Austrian/Swiss tuner is also currently working on a supercharger system for the 5.2 FSI engine of the R8.
