McChip-DKR and Kubatech create an SLS AMG Tuning Program

A high-powered collaboration.

McChip-DKR and Kubatech have a history of building powerful cars. In the past, they’ve collaborated on cars like the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG and the Porsche 911 GT2. Now, they’ve both set their sights on the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.

The new SLS AMG tuning program takes the hand-built AMG 6.2-liter V-8 engine to another level of “allowable” performance. Armed with vast ECU tuning experience and a set of racing catalytic converters, Kubatech and McChip-DKR pushed output from the stock 571 horsepower and 480 lb-ft. of torque to 625 horsepower and 501 lb-ft. of torque. This was the maximum output that could be achieved with the given values determined by Mercedes. Not only does the power reduce acceleration times, but also increases the top speed.

The tuning program developed by McChip-DKR and Kubatech makes the SLS AMG even more potent on the road and more enjoyable to drive with the howling exhaust note. The entire two-stage program is available for € 8026.00 (+/- 10,900 USD).
