Whatever happened to station wagons? Minivans and SUVs have taken over as the family-haulers and give their occupants a rather bland mode of transportation (in most cases). But don’t worry; Kicherer is here to save the sport wagon with the new Mercedes-Benz C63 T Supersport.
The new Kicherer Mercedes model is for the family-minded automotive enthusiast. Not only does it have more room in the back than most minivans and SUVs, but it also provides superb safety and security for all occupants. Now on to the good stuff…
The Kicherer C63 T Supersport is based on the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG, meaning it’s already built to shred the rear tires and perform on the race track. But the German tuner has taken the 6.2-liter V-8 a step further. After an ECU tune, sports air filter, and stainless steel sport exhaust system with flap control system, the wagon puts down a whopping 542 horsepower and 472 lb-ft. of torque. That gets the performance people-carrier scooting to 62 mph in a mere 4.2 seconds and to a top speed of 199 mph (320 km/h).
The additional power is put to the pavement by a set of four Kicherer RS-1 forged wheels and an upgraded suspension system. The three piece wheels measure 20-inches at the front and rear, and feature black centers with polished outer lips. A high-performance composite brake system hides behind the forged wheels and brings the wagon to a safe halt. The entire C63 T Supersport is lowered by the Kicherer RS-line threaded suspension upgrade.
The exterior may pose the only problem with convincing the “other half” that the C63 T Supersport is the perfect family vehicle. Instead of a bland silver, beige, or white paint that makes the car look pedestrian, Kicherer has given it a fresh coat of evil. The front stares ahead with a spoiler, carbon flaps and carbon fiber grille; each side features black carbon fiber sills and carbon fiber mirrors; and the rear is given a diffuser for better aerodynamics.
The interior is the trump card. It isn’t as menacing as the exterior. The seats can be adorned with exclusive Nappa leather, decorative seams, and piano varnish backs. Soft alcantara can be fitted to the dashboard, door covers, and roof for a comfortable atmosphere for the children.
The Kicherer Mercedes-Benz C63 T Supersport may be the ultimate family-hauler with a low four-second 0-62 mph time, a near 200 mph top speed and raging exhaust. It also has a ton of cargo space for groceries and kids. Who needs a minivan when there’s this?
