There are some cars that are just a treat to drive, like the Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG. The four-door coupe packs a 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 with up to 541 horsepower when equipped with the power pack upgrade; a sport-tuned suspension, brakes, and bodywork; and all of the AMG extras. Carlsson Autotechnik has made the sweet coupe into a sugar-packed morsel.

The white, minty fresh exterior of the Carlsson CK63 RS is covered in Diamond White Metallic paint and features crisp aerodynamic upgrades. At the front sits a RS spoiler lip with carbon fiber lip left in a naked, contrasting finish to generate downforce. Stainless steel black mesh replaces the stock front radiator grille and front inserts. Naked carbon fiber decorates the rear as Carlsson installed a trunk lid spoiler, rear skirt insert, and rear diffuser to generate extra downforce for better stability.

Under that sweet candy exterior is a fiery center filled with force-fed power. Carlsson has tuned the 5.5-liter V-8 engine of the CLS 63 AMG with power pack to new heights of teeth-clenching performance. In addition to the traditional ECU, air, and engine tuning, a new exhaust system with metal catalytic converters, adjustable volume flaps, and quad tailpipes was installed and lets out a viscous roar. The upgrades push the stock output of 541 horsepower and 590 lb-ft. to a whopping 652 horses and 737 lb-ft. of torque, reducing the 0-62 mph time from 4.3 to 4.1 seconds.

The Carlsson CK63 RS also boasts a savory chassis setup that makes it more precise and dynamic. Both the front and rear axles are fitted with 20-inch Carlsson 1/10 Brilliant Edition light alloy wheels with a slight concave design that exudes power. The German tuner then fitted a set of sport springs on the front axle to reduce the height by 30 mm for improved handling.

Inside the CK63 RS is a rich mixture of “Santa Red” fittings with a savory white contrast. The seats, door panels, trunk, floor, console, and dashboard all proudly wear the bright red Carlsson Nappa leather with white ornamental stitching and trim.

The delicious Carlsson CK63 RS is currently available from the German tuner. Just remember to brush and floss afterwards kids, candy as sweet as this will lead to tooth decay.

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is big and commanding. It has presence and wears its three-pointed star proudly. Although the W221 design has been out since 2005, it still is looked at as the benchmark in the full-size luxury sedan segment. Carlsson has taken the big boy ‘Benz a step further with new aerodynamics, more power, and an even more sumptuous interior.

Carlsson Autotechnik has tested and developed a new RS aerodynamic package designed to optimize airflow and increase downforce for the sedan. The front bumper is fitted with a meaner front spoiler; fog, high beam, and vertical LED daytime running lights, and an electropolished stainless steel front grille. The rear wears a more aggressive skirt with integrated four-pipe exhaust and a subtle rear trunk spoiler. For owners of the S600 sedan, Carlsson offers new side skirts and stainless steel grille inserts to differentiate the top-model.

Mercedes-Benz S-Class models with either the AIRMATIC or ABC suspension systems can be upgraded with a sport lowering system along with new wheels and tires. The Carlsson C-Tronic Suspension system lowers the ride height for better handling but also retains the luxurious ride S-Class owners desire. The bold, sportier appearance of the S-Class is echoed by the new 20-inch light alloy 1/10 Brilliant Edition wheels with 255/35 ZR 20 front and 275/35 ZR 20 rear high-performance tires.

The Mercedes specialists at Carlsson also got creative with the S-Class tuning and decided to unleash the mighty 5.5-liter biturbo V-12. Armed with a retuned ECU, sports air filter, and rear muffler, power is pushed to 600 horses and an electronically-limited 755 lb-ft (1,024 Nm) of torque. The increase in output sends the luxury sedan to 62 mph in just 4.4 seconds and to a top speed of 199 mph (320 km/h). Customers with the six-, eight-, and twelve-cylinder gasoline or diesel engines can also upgrade their performance with Carlsson kits.

Inside, the S-Class is nothing short of luxurious. The in-house upholstery and saddlery shop at Carlsson can create an individual interior to customer specification. The basic interior upgrade package includes leather upholstery for the front and rear seats, headrests, and door panels in any color or stitching design. Customers can also upgrade to a more exclusive interior with aluminum pedals and footrest, Carlsson door sills with blue lighting, embossed headrests, and leather dashboard, steering wheel, and arm rest.

The entire Carlsson Autotechnik Mercedes-Benz S-Class tuning program for the W221 generation is currently available as a package or individual accessories. Pricing for the S600 performance kit begins at € 4199 (+/- 5,900 USD), the C-Tronic Suspension upgrade is € 990 (+/- 1,400 USD), and the alloy wheel and tire combination starts at € 3,011 (+/- 4,200 USD). When the Mercedes-Benz CLS made its debut, it was regarded as one of the most attractive and stylish cars on the market with its sleek “four-door coupe” design. The new-generation C218 CLS-Class made its debut at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, and was set to go on sale in January of 2011 as a 2012-model. Carlsson Autotechnik GmbH decided it would get a head start on the competition and released their new tuning program for the CLS-Class before the new model even went on sale.

The tuning program includes a subtle, yet powerful exterior package that was created by Rolf Schlepp, Chief Designer at Carlsson. The exterior modifications focus on enhancing the CLS’s coupe-like styling while also improving the vehicle’s aerodynamics. The face of the CLS becomes more powerful with the Carlsson bodywork, which includes a front spoiler, stainless steel grille inserts, and apron inserts with LED fog lamps. The sweeping lines that make the CLS so sleek and sexy are highlighted by the two smooth power domes on the hood. Both sides of the CLS wear new moldings with air inlets and side skirts that flow with the swooping coupe-like lines. At the rear, a more striking spoiler and rear diffuser are fitted for improved downforce.

The exterior design of the CLS is also enhanced with Carlsson’s new 1/10 wheel. Designed by Schlepp, the muscular wheel features five simple spokes that flush to the edge of the wheel and five double spokes that begin deeper in the wheel, lending to a dynamic appearance. Three different finishes are available for the 1/10 wheel: Titanium Silver, Brilliant Silver, and Graphite Gray. Carlsson also offers the wheels in 19- and 20-inch diameters, wrapped in premium rubber. To accentuate the wheels and overall design of the CLS, Carlsson also installs the C-Tronic suspension, which lowers the car by 30-mm and constantly monitors the road conditions to provide the optimum ride.

Carlsson also takes on both the diesel and gasoline V-6 engines in the CLS with two performance kits. The Carlsson Mercedes C-Tronic Diesel Power control unit for the 3.0-liter engine boosts power from the standard 265 horsepower and 479 lb-ft. of torque to a mighty 320 horsepower and 575 lb-ft. Power for the 3.5-liter gasoline engine is also improved from the stock 306 horsepower and 273 lb-ft. of torque to 333 horsepower and 302 lb-ft. of torque with the new CK35 performance CLS tuning kit. Both performance kits help power the CLS to 62 mph in just 5.9 seconds and meet EURO 5 emissions standards.

The interior of the CLS is also refined by Carlsson for a sportier feel. The foot pedals and foot rest are replaced with brushed aluminum units, and the floor and trunk mats are replaced with velour mats embossed with the Carlsson logo. The centerpiece of the interior is the new Alcantara sport steering wheel, which gives the driver improved grip and control.

Carlsson will debut the entire tuning program for the Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class (C218) at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. The aerodynamic package, engine tuning kits, and wheels can be purchased as an entire package or separately to create a custom-tailored CLS.

Known for exclusive tuning for Mercedes-Benz since 1989, the new C25 establishes Carlsson Autotechnik as one of the elite automotive companies. For the first time in company history Carlsson has developed their first automobile. Based on the Mercedes-Benz SL600, the C25 is designed to deliver supreme driving performance with everyday drivability.

Powering the Carlsson C25 is a 6.0-liter V-12 Biturbo engine with enough torque to spin the globe. Capable of an astonishing 973 lb-ft. of torque, Carlsson engineers were forced to electronically limit the engine to 848 lb-ft. from 2,000 to 4,000 RPM. A retuned engine management system creates a smooth ride at low speeds, and unleashes a volcano of power through the stainless-steel exhaust as the C25 accelerates to a top speed of 219 mph. At just 5,000 RPM the Biturbo V-12 produces a maximum 753 hp, launching the C25 to 62 mph in just 3.7 seconds.

The Carlsson C25 distinguishes itself with its unique, and sharp design. Powerful shoulders and sharp lines create a muscular look. Large air inlets at the front provide cool air to the potent engine. Located in front and behind the wheelhouses are ventilation ducts that feed cool air to brakes. Downforce is developed by the large, double diffuser at the rear, eliminating the need for front and rear spoilers.

For optimum driving dynamics the C-Tronic Suspension constantly monitors driving dynamics and road characteristics, automatically adjusting the suspension accordingly. This system allows the C25 to provide optimum handling at the racetrack and a comfortable ride on long drives. A powerful braking system has been fitted to ensure unmatched stopping power. Slotted race brake discs measuring 16 inches are fitted at the front axle, while 15-inch race discs are fitted at the rear.

Specially designed lightweight forged wheels have been fitted on the C25. Weighing just 24.6 lbs. each wheel is 40 percent lighter than a light alloy wheel. Measuring 9.5×20 inches at the front and 12×20 at the rear, the staggered wheels are fitted with high performance 265/30 R20 front and 325/25 R20 rear tires.

The sharp exterior design continues to the redesigned interior, where angular elements are found at the steering wheel, seats, and center console. Race seats, race harnesses, and other motorsport devices are purposefully omitted to create a pleasant driving environment. Tanned buffalo leather and ultra-suede are available in special colors with real carbon trim.

The Carlsson Mercedes C25 was designed to combine high performance driving with everyday drivability. Production of the C25 will be exclusively limited to just 25 automobiles worldwide, with only one delivered per country. The C25 will be available for 510,510 Euro including German VAT; orders for 2010 delivery have already been filled.

At the core of the E 63 AMG lies a 6.3-liter V-8 engine with 525 horsepower and 465 lb-ft. of torque, shooting the powerful sedan to 62 mph in only 4.8 seconds. That however was inadequate for Carlsson Autotechnik. After re-engineering the engine with a revamped motor management system and a thunderous new exhaust, Carlsson was able to slash the 0-62 mph time down to just 4.5 seconds and increase power to a fierce 585 hp and 513 lb-ft. of torque.

A new aerodynamics package created by head designer Rolf Schepp illustrates the power and elegance that defines the E-CK63 RS.
