There are some cars that are just a treat to drive, like the Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG. The four-door coupe packs a 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 with up to 541 horsepower when equipped with the power pack upgrade; a sport-tuned suspension, brakes, and bodywork; and all of the AMG extras. Carlsson Autotechnik has made the sweet coupe into a sugar-packed morsel.

The white, minty fresh exterior of the Carlsson CK63 RS is covered in Diamond White Metallic paint and features crisp aerodynamic upgrades. At the front sits a RS spoiler lip with carbon fiber lip left in a naked, contrasting finish to generate downforce. Stainless steel black mesh replaces the stock front radiator grille and front inserts. Naked carbon fiber decorates the rear as Carlsson installed a trunk lid spoiler, rear skirt insert, and rear diffuser to generate extra downforce for better stability.

Under that sweet candy exterior is a fiery center filled with force-fed power. Carlsson has tuned the 5.5-liter V-8 engine of the CLS 63 AMG with power pack to new heights of teeth-clenching performance. In addition to the traditional ECU, air, and engine tuning, a new exhaust system with metal catalytic converters, adjustable volume flaps, and quad tailpipes was installed and lets out a viscous roar. The upgrades push the stock output of 541 horsepower and 590 lb-ft. to a whopping 652 horses and 737 lb-ft. of torque, reducing the 0-62 mph time from 4.3 to 4.1 seconds.

The Carlsson CK63 RS also boasts a savory chassis setup that makes it more precise and dynamic. Both the front and rear axles are fitted with 20-inch Carlsson 1/10 Brilliant Edition light alloy wheels with a slight concave design that exudes power. The German tuner then fitted a set of sport springs on the front axle to reduce the height by 30 mm for improved handling.

Inside the CK63 RS is a rich mixture of “Santa Red” fittings with a savory white contrast. The seats, door panels, trunk, floor, console, and dashboard all proudly wear the bright red Carlsson Nappa leather with white ornamental stitching and trim.

The delicious Carlsson CK63 RS is currently available from the German tuner. Just remember to brush and floss afterwards kids, candy as sweet as this will lead to tooth decay.

It all started on April 22nd, 2011 when the RENNtech SLR set a world record for being the fastest Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR at Palm Beach International Raceway with a 10.439-second at 133.04 mph quarter mile run. Then, in May, the Florida-based tuner broke their previous speed record with a 10.29-second at 134 mph time, but it still wasn’t enough…

RENNtech started off 2012 with a bang, as they broke the nine-second barrier with their Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR. Named the LP4 SLR 777, the RENNtech SLR features a full Mansory Renovatio exterior body upgrade, and a number of in-house performance modifications to make it the fastest SLR in the world. The LP4 SLR 777 was also featured in the December 2011 issue of the Dupont Registry and made an appearance at the 2011 SEMA Show.

After basking in the limelight, the RENNtech SLR took to Palm Beach International Raceway once again to shatter records. The LP4 SLR 777 was able to achieve an astonishing 9.76-second at 140.8 mph run, making it both the fastest SLR in the world and the first Mercedes-Benz powered Mercedes model to run in the nine-second range for the quarter mile.

Since the 300 SL was reincarnated in the new SLS AMG by Mercedes-Benz, it has since become a popular subject for all sorts of tuning programs from companies around the world. Everything to complete transformations to the straightforward exhaust upgrade has been performed on the German super car.

However, Inden Design has decided that sometimes a simple upgrade package is all that a super car needs. The SLS AMG is already an eye-catcher straight from the factory with its gullwing doors, so the German tuner stuck to a basic upgrade formula to complement the car’s design.

The hand-built 6.2-liter AMG V-8 that cranks out 563 horsepower and 480 lb-ft. of torque was the starting point for Inden Design. Instead of a complete overhaul, the German tuner focused on a software upgrade for the ECU and an exhaust system with sport catalytic converters and manifold. This helped increase power to 623 horses for a considerable increase in performance.

The next step was a proper wheel and tire fitment that would complement the overall design of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. Inden Design installed a set of in-house monoblock wheels with a satin black finish in a 10.5 x 20 fitment at the front and rear axles. In order to adequately put down all 623 horses to the pavement, new high-performance 255/30 ZR 20 front and 295/30 ZR 20 rear tires were fitted.

While the Inden Design Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG upgrade package may not be a full-on conversion, it still promises to provide all of the fun, if not more, than other tuning programs on the market. All of the upgrades are currently available for the SLS AMG.

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is an icon due to its supercar performance and gullwing doors that were first seen on the original 300 SL. The new SLS C197 has commanding presence and power that Senner Tuning has turned up a few notches with its new upgrade package for the super car.

At the heart of the SLS AMG is a 6.2-liter V-8 engine hand built at AMG. The original 563 horsepower and 480 lb-ft. output has been increased up to 598 horsepower and 509 lb-ft. of torque by Senner Tuning though the use of a new sports air filter kit and exhaust system. The new stainless steel exhaust features a throttle control system that opens up valves upon hard acceleration for a thunderous growl.

For better traction and handling, Senner Tuning installed a new suspension, wheel, and tire set on the SLS C197. The stock suspension was replaced with a new KW variant 3 system with adjustable pressure and traction. The system is also constructed from lightweight aluminum to help improve overall performance. New specially-made Corniche Vegas wheels were made and installed on the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. Senner Tuning equipped the SLS with new Aerotechnik wheels in a 9 x 20 front and 11 x 20 rear fitment with 255/30 R20 front and 285/30 R20 rear tires. Each wheel features a stainless steel lip and diamond-turned rim star painted gloss black.

Besides the upgraded wheels and lowered stance, exterior upgrades remain minimal. The lone modification is a new set of carbon fiber side mirrors.

The entire Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG conversion by Senner Tuning is currently available. Prices start at € 19,500 (+/- 25,300 USD) including VAT.

Mercedes-Benz has just released the new R231-generation of the SL-Class roadster, but the SL R230 isn’t ready to say goodbye just yet. PP Exclusive, the German tuning company, has unveiled a new upgrade program for the R230-generation SL-Class that focuses on three things: deep, wide, and loud.

These three characteristics transform the Mercedes-Benz SL into a new roadster. Both the front and rear axles of the roadster have been widened by 50 mm and 110 mm respectively as part of the PP Exclusive SL tuning program. The widened track is emphasized by two different sets of in-house wheels. The featured wheels, shown in black and chrome, are the PP Exclusive Majestic models, and measure 11 x 20 up front with a 3.5-inch lip, and 13 x 20 at the rear with a massive 5.0-inch lip. On the opposite side are the PP Exclusive Crown Jewel light alloy wheels in the same size with an optional 6.0-inch lip. Each of the wheel designs wear 255/30 R20 front and 305/25 R20 rear Dunlop tires.

In terms of ‘loud’ and ‘deep’, PP Exclusive has designed a new suspension module and exhaust system to transform the SL-Class into an unforgettable roadster. The entire car can be lowered by up to 100 mm thanks to an electronic lowering module that is operated via steering wheel. At any time, the height status of the SL can be checked in the instrument cluster. All of the available engines in the SL-Class can be fitted with a PP Exclusive stainless steel exhaust with four oval-shaped tips in a ‘civil’ or ‘loud’ configuration.

For that exclusive touch, the German tuner has installed a white and black themed interior. Each of the seats were furnished with white Nappa leather with contrasting black stitching, while the sun visors were fitted with black alcantara. The center console and trim pieces have been replaced with vibrant white components to match the overall theme. Facing the driver is a new flat-bottomed steering wheel with alcantara, white stitching, and a black Mercedes-Benz logo for better control.

The entire SL R230 tuning program from PP Exclusive is currently available as a complete package or individual accessories. The Majestic wheels will be available in early 2012 and have just received TÜV certification.

The new W212 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a relatively conservative design when compared with the rest of the automotive industry. It still, however, gives off a sense of power and sport with its sharp-angled styling cues. Prior Design was able to emphasize those characteristics and improve the car’s overall aerodynamic properties with the new PD500 body kit.

The new PD500 Prior Design body kit for the W212 Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan slices through air with its muscular design. The aerodynamic body kit was developed to match the original sharp-edged styling of the W212 while creating a more aggressive look.

The Prior Design Mercedes W212 body kit features four separate parts and completely transforms the look of the sedan. The front features a new front bumper with larger air intakes and accommodates the stock LED daytime running lights. The bumper extends outwards, where the design is continued with a pair of side skirts that run to the rear fender. Instead of the clean, stock rear bumper, the Prior Design Mercedes PD500 bumper is more aggressive and features a dual exhaust cutout.

All of the Prior Design body kit components come complete with mounting material and are made with OEM quality. Pricing for the complete PD500 kit has not been released.

Winter is in full effect for most of the northern hemisphere of the globe and to celebrate, Kicherer is introducing a strictly limited White Edition for the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG. If your idea of snow driving involves oversteer in a rear-wheel drive V-8 monster, this white-themed car is for you.

The Kicherer C63 AMG White Edition is all about the driving experience. Rather than dress up the sedan in a satin black finish like the past few Kicherer models, the German tuner gave the C63 a white and black color scheme. The front of the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG features a new fascia with larger front air intake, LED daytime running lights, and a carbon fiber grille with piano lacquer finish. New side skirts with piano black accents emphasize performance and visually lower the sedan. At the rear sits a new carbon fiber diffuser in piano black finish for better aerodynamics.

Under the hood of the Kicherer Mercedes C63 AMG White Edition sits a tuned 6.2-liter V-8 engine. The hand-built engine was given a new software tune, stainless steel flap-controlled exhaust system, and a limited-slip differential to create a thrilling driving experience full of grip. After the upgrades, the engine is capable of producing 520 brake horsepower and 457 lb-ft. of torque.

Kicherer also focused on creating a more dynamic driving experience for the C63 AMG White Edition. The stock wheels were replaced with lightweight 20-inch Kicherer RS 1 forged wheels and given 245 front and 275 rear performance tires for better grip. The entire suspension benefits from adjustable high-performance coilovers for improved handling. Bringing things to a halt are high-performance Brembo brakes with stainless steel braided lines.

The stock interior was transformed by Kicherer with white leather and special stitching. All of the seats were fitted with exclusive black and white Nappa leather and given white stitching. The steering wheel, center console, dashboard, and door panels were also outfitted in a mixture of black and white leather with contrasting white stitching.

Only ten of the Kicherer Mercedes C63 AMG White Edition models will be produced. Pricing for the super sedan have not been released.

The 6.2-liter V-8 developed and hand-built by AMG has been known as one of the most viscous V-8s currently used in German performance cars. The engine is also known for its character, reminding drivers of a classic American muscle car V-8 with German refinement. German tuner, Väth, has taken the 6.2-liter V-8 in the C63 AMG and given it a new supercharger system that whines with power and shreds asphalt.

Named the Väth V63, the new tuning program is a supercharged, aerodynamic performance monster. The engine was given the V63Supercharged upgrade from Väth that includes a new supercharger with yellow-painted intake manifold, special Väth water intercooling system, special engine and oil cooling system, and individualized engine ECU tuning. To reduce backpressure and let the monster roar, Väth installed a stainless-steel exhaust system with sport mufflers and throttle control.

The result of the V63Supercharged upgrade is a thunderous 680 horsepower and 620 lb-ft. of torque. The increase in power propels the supercharged C63 AMG to 62 mph 4.0 seconds and to a white-knuckle top speed of 208.16 mph (335 km/h).

Due to the fact that the Väth V63 is capable of breaking the 200 mph barrier, the German tuner was forced to develop new aerodynamic components to keep the sedan stable at such high speeds. Carbon fiber became the chosen material because of its high-strength and low weight, and used to create new front and rear spoilers. The rear was also given a visible carbon fiber diffuser. Väth then extended the rear track by 80 mm for better grip with new carbon fiber rear fenders.

Filling in the widened wheel arches are a new set of three-piece mesh forged wheels measuring 9 x 20 up front and 11 x 20 at the rear. The front pair are fitted with 255/30 R 20 high-performance tires, while the rear was given a pair of 295/25 R 20s. A Clubsport coilover suspension system allows for a range of adjustable settings and can lower the car by 20 – 65 mm. Bringing the supercharged C63 AMG to a stop are new high-performance brakes with 380 mm rotors, stainless steel braided lines, and high-performance fluid.

As part of the Väth V63 upgrade program, customers also have the option to choose from a variety of interior refinements. The standard leather steering wheel can be replaced with a wood or carbon fiber unit, and the speedometer can be extended to 360 km/h. Even the stock trim pieces can be replaced with carbon fiber material for a sportier appearance.

The entire Väth V63 supercharger program (without car) for the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG is currently available for € 64,308 (+/- 84,000 USD). As part of the program, the German tuner provides a no questions asked ten day test drive with the car.
