Motorsport is an important part of Renault and their automobiles. The automaker’s racing division, Renault Sport is deeply rooted in Formula 1 racing with teams such as Red Bull Racing, Lotus F1, Caterham F1, and Williams F1, utilizing their engines in 2012. To celebrate the Red Bull Racing’s 2011 Formula 1 Constructor’s Championship win, Renault Sport has unveiled the new Red Bull Racing RB7 limited edition Renault Clio RS.

The new Renault Clio RS Red Bull Racing RB7 is a hot hatch with the heart and soul of a Formula 1 race car. The Red Bull Racing RB7 will feature the latest technology from Renault Sport Technologies. A Cup chassis will come standard along with 18-inch black Interlagos wheels fitted with Bridgestone RE050A performance tires; the same tires that helped the Renault Mégane RS Trophy set a Nürburgring lap record in 2011. Powering the Renault Clio RS Red Bull Racing RB7 is a potent 2.0-liter inline-four with an output of 203 horsepower, giving it over 100 hp/liter.

Red Bull Racing and its Formula 1 success have influenced the exterior design of the hot hatch. The entire body of the Renault Clio RS Red Bull Racing RB7 features a special Profond Black paint. The Red Bull Racing RB7 also features Sirius Yellow Formula 1-style bodywork such as the front blade, rear diffuser, and side mirrors. Red Bull Racing badges adorn each side of the car and the roof is decorated with a special Renault Sport checkered decal to differentiate the car from the rest of the lineup.

Inside, Renault Sport has fitted the Red Bull Racing RB7 with a host of special, motorsport-inspired features. Yellow fabric Recaro bucket seats come standard along with a Renault Sport gear shifter, and personalized and numbered plaque. The centerpiece of the interior is the RS monitor system which provides drivers with performance related information such as acceleration times to help the driver fine tune their skills. An automatic headlight activation system, audio connection box, hands-free card, and automatic climate control also come standard.

The new Renault Clio RS Red Bull Racing RB7 will go on sale on March 14th in France, Austria, Belgium, Spain, and Switzerland for €27,900 as a limited edition model. Renault plans on also making Red Bull limited editions of the Mégane RS and Twingo RS in the near future.
