The Porsche 911 GT3 is your road-going, track-day special that delivers the racing goods without completely sacrificing the ability to legally drive on public roads. It’s that brilliant connection to motorsports that makes it so prized and KAEGE has made it even better.
Cutting weight and upping power while improving driving characteristics were the goals for KAEGE with this Porsche 911 GT3. The high-revving 3.6-liter flat-six engine benefits from a new M+M noise reduction system, racing headers, and dual 200-cell catalytic converters that cut 15.4 lbs. of weight. A new air filter freely sucks fresh air into the engine. The factory hydraulic power steering pump was replaced with a new electric pump to free up power and reduce weight even more.
Weight and driving dynamics were also improved upon elsewhere. The factory clutch was swapped out for a new Sachs sport clutch along with a single-mass flywheel. A new CAE gearshifter was also installed that features a longer lever and quicker shifting response. A new lithium-ion battery, RS rear window, and navigation deletion cuts weight even further.
Under the body, KAEGE waved its lightweight, high-performance magic wand and was able to extract even more performance. New red-finished ATS superlight wheels measure 9.0 x 19 at the front and 12.0 x 19 at the rear, and are equipped with Michelin Pilot Cup2 tires for all the grip you’ll ever need. A triple KW clubsport suspension is paired up with uniball bearing mounts and KAEGE wishbones to sharpen handling and shed even more weight. In total, the KAEGE Porsche 911 GT3 is a full 132 lbs. lighter than the factory model and has 23 more horsepower.
But KAEGE wasn’t finished there. The interior was fitted with a new set of lightweight retro-styled checkered fabric complete with matching travel and helmet bag. The center console, roll cage, and other parts have all been color-matched to the exterior. The front trunk was also cleaned out of any unnecessary equipment.
