One man’s design concept is something we can all dream about driving.

Aston Martin has been quite busy this past year as they continue to celebrate their 100th Anniversary. They’ve gone all-out for their centenary, unveiling special cars like the Aston Martin CC100 Speedster Concept, and DBS Coupe and DB9 Spyder Zagato models, while their new production Vanquish Volante and V12 Vantage S models also made their debuts.

While the British automaker was hard at work, one man was putting in the hours creating a design concept that could showcase what the future holds for Aston Martin. Designer Samir Sadikhov, who has worked for Lamborghini, created the Aston Martin DBC Concept as a personal design study – and it has us drooling.

The new Aston Martin DBC Concept is a mid-engined, rear-wheel drive supercar that has all the classic Aston Martin features with a modern style.

The classic Aston Martin grille is worn at the front with a black finish and contrasting silver outline while a carbon fiber front splitter is situated underneath to optimize downforce and cooling. The lines that run from the fender to the rear flow beautifully and emphasize the car’s sexy figure while giving the impression of speed and power. The wheels are worn in a staggered setup with the front having a smaller diameter than the rear to showcase the rear-wheel drive powertrain.

The rear features a sleek and slim design that incorporates the “C-shaped” taillights from current Aston Martins and a small, centrally-located logo. The Aston Martin DBC Concept sports a pair of tailpipes that flank a deep and functional diffuser setup that improves high speed stability.

The new Aston Martin DBC Concept may be Samir Sadikhov’s personal design study, but it’s a direction that the British brand could very well head towards in the future. For more of Sadikhov’s work, visit his website.
