Many aftermarket tuning companies today have all sorts of new high-performance parts that can oftentimes break the bank for a moderate increase in power. Oftentimes, the end result doesn’t justify the money that was paid for the part(s). Maxi-Tuner has unveiled two simple and straightforward, tried and tested upgrades that won’t break the bank but will put a smile on your face for the MINI JCW (F56).
The standard MINI JCW is packed with fun in a small package. Its turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four spits out 231 horsepower and 236 lb-ft. of torque while exclusive aerodynamics visually showcase its athleticism.
Maxi-Tuner developed a new MaxPower tuning module specifically for the engine that works with the factory setup to improve throttle response and increase power. In total, a healthy 260 horsepower and 288 lb-ft. of torque are generated without affecting the factory diagnostic and protective functions. This means that if a problem occurs, it reverts back to the factory mapping and parameters to prevent any damage. The MaxPower system can also be easily removed.
In addition to the new ECU tuning module, the Maxi-Tuner team developed a full MaxSound exhaust system that gives the MINI JCW a meaner sound. The customized MaxSound sport exhaust system is made from stainless steel and boasts two 70 mm centrally-mounted exhaust outlets. A special remote-controlled flap system uses an innovative design that allows both tailpipes to operate regardless of the position of the valve flap. Customers can also opt for the standard JCW tailpipes with the exhaust system if they so choose.
The added boost of power and sound from Maxi-Tuner for the MINI JCW comes at a pretty reasonable price too. The MaxPower and MaxSound upgrades are both priced at 990 Euros, each, meaning that you won’t break the bank with the two upgrades.
