The Bahre Collection

Bahre Collection

If you live are visiting or live near Paris, Maine around July 20th this year, the Bahre collection is a wonderful stop this summer. Robert and Sandra Bahre, former owners of both New Hampshire Motor Speedway and Oxford Plains Speedway, open their private collection of fine automobiles on the third Saturday of July, each year. For $10 per adult and $2 for children under 12, visitors can see fine 30’s-era coach-built American and European specials.

The flamboyant lines of a Figoni & Falaschi Delahaye 135M, a rare Thomas Flyer, a classic Mercedes SSK and a gorgeous Alfa Romeo 8C-2900B Touring Spider are among the 60+ vehicles on display. Vintage race cars and motorcycles, horse-drawn carriages and a full armada of Packards, Duesenbergs and Stutzes round out the conveyances the public can see. This once-a-year opportunity is the Bahre’s effort to support the operation and upkeep of the Hamlin Memorial Library and Museum.
