Mansory isn’t just about tuning sports, luxury, and super cars. The German company has a line of furniture and even a Chronofighter watch. So when Mansory teamed up with Garia, the well-known manufacturer of premium golf carts, to build a special edition, it wasn’t all that surprising.
“Luxurious upper class sedans and lightning-fast super sports cars are our passion – so the Garia is a logical addition to our portfolio, because like the rest of our products the Garia sets the bench mark in its industry,” says Kourosh Mansory, owner of Mansory Design & Holding GmbH.
The Garia Mansory Edition golf cart is for those that desire luxury and performance from more than just their automobiles. The golf car follows the same formula for most of Mansory’s kits for sports cars, the basis of which is lightweight autoclave-prepreg baked carbon fiber. Mansory has fitted new side steps, rear fenders, the front apron, and rear apron with integrated diffuser for, one can only guess, improved aerodynamic properties at very high speeds. The front air scoops, fender gills, and headlights were redesigned to give the Garia golf cart a more intimidating and powerful look.
The Garia Mansory golf cart is designed to create a car-like driving experience with ample space for two. The suspension is built using a double-wishbone setup to provide dynamic handling properties while still retaining a luxurious ride. “When creating the Garia, we set out to build the best golf car in the world, teaming up with the most renowned suppliers in the automobile industry, and with the Garia Mansory Edition our connection to the automobile world is further strengthened”, says Anders Lynge, designer of the Garia.
The interior of the Garia Mansory golf cart is fitted with luxury accommodations that would normally be found in six-figure luxury cars. A refrigerator has been built into the dashboard for refreshments while out on the course. The seats wear custom-sewn leather and are surrounded by a leather dashboard, and leather-covered aluminum steering wheel with carbon fiber top. Mansory also installed a beautiful teak floor for a luxurious yacht-like feel.
The Garia Mansory Edition golf cart made its debut at the 2011 IAA Frankfurt Auto Show and is available in street legal and non-street legal variants. Pricing for each version has not been released.
