WheelsandMore’s 2,340 Horsepower AMG Party Exposed

Four AMGs that will leave you with a horsepower hangover.

For the past two years, engineers at WheelsandMore have been diligently working to create power packages for the 6.2-liter AMG V-8s found in the C-Class and SL-Class models. To introduce the new power packages, WheelsandMore invited two C63 AMGs and two SL63 AMGs for a 2,340 horsepower AMG party.

In each of the WheelsandMore Mercedes power packages numerous upgrades are installed to unleash furious power from both of the AMG V-8s. A new stainless steel exhaust system is fitted to both engines and features 4-in-1 exhaust manifolds, catalytic converter replacement tubes, and rear sport mufflers with remote-controlled valve flaps for an adjustable exhaust note. Completing the power packages are new software updates that increase power and remove the top speed limiter. The package results in an impressive 570hp and 509 lb-ft for the C63 AMG, and 600hp with 524 lb-ft of torque for the SL63 AMG, allowing both models to reach speeds over 185 mph.

Complimenting the thunderous power created by both power packages are new sets of wheels for both models. The C63 AMGs wear WheelsandMore’s six-spoke 6Sportz and spiral-design TS-1 ultralight forged wheels, measuring 9 x 20 up front and 10.5 x 20 at the rear. The two sets of wheels are shod in 235/30/20 front and 275/25/20 rear Dunlop Sport Maxx GT tires for superb traction. For the SL63 AMG models, the same 6Sportz and TS-1 wheels are fitted, but instead feature a wider track, measuring 10 x 20 at the front axle with 255/30/20 tires and a fat 12 x 20 at the rear with 305/25/20 rubber.

Each the C63 and SL63 AMGs sport new suspension upgrades to improve the cars handling and dynamics. For both C-Classes, WheelsandMore has fitted new stainless steel race coilovers with adjustable compression and rebound. The SL63s receive new LowMaXX electronic lowering modules that provide the driver with adjustable lowering. WheelsandMore also offers variable differential locks to prevent oversteer and brake upgrades for both models.

Both power packs for the C63 AMG and SL63 AMG are currently available from WheelsandMore along with wheel sets, suspension, interior, exterior, and brake upgrades to create your own unique AMG.
