CCG Automotive Wraps the Dodge Challenger

A German take on American muscle.

American muscle cars like the Dodge Challenger, Ford Mustang, and Chevrolet Camaro are sought after overseas in Europe due to their classic big engine, rear-wheel drive setup. CCG Automotive, the German vehicle wrapping specialists, has taken quite a liking to the Dodge Challenger, so much so that they decided to make it their show car. The CCG Challenger features more than just a custom wrap. It’s powered by an even bigger engine, features an upgraded interior, and more precise chassis.

The CCG Challenger is all about character. A special CCG Automotive wrap was applied to the entire exterior and can be completely revered without damaging the stock paint or finish. For the Dodge Challenger SRT-8, the German company chose a bright green color highlighted by carbon fiber white stripes and contrasting black elements and trim.

Underneath the flashy green, white, and black skin of the CCG Challenger is a muscle car with a big surprise. The standard 6.1-liter V-8 engine was replaced with a brutal 7.0-liter Stroker HEMI V-8 with 600 horsepower that lights up the rear tires in a cloud of smoke. With the new engine, the top speed has been pushed back past the 186 mph mark.

In order to handle all 600 horses, the chassis had to be upgraded. CCG Automotive installed a new KW coilover suspension with adjustable damping to fine-tune the driving setup. To put all of the power down, the wheels were upgraded to wider, three-piece Asanti wheels in a 9 x 22 front and 10 x 22 rear fitment. The front wheels were fitted with 265/35 R22 Pirelli Scorpion Zero tires while the rear was given 295/30 R22 tires.

The exterior of the CCG Challenger was also upgraded to accommodate the widened stance of the new wheels. The wheel wells were extended to accommodate the added width, and even more muscle to the look of the car. The doors were then upgraded with new LSD units that allow for them to open upwards instead of sideways.

The finishing touches were applied to the interior by CCG Automotive. Much of the standard plastic trim, leather, and more was removed and replaced with black leather and alcantara with contrasting red stitching and piping. To complete it all, a pair of dice was added to the rear-view mirror.
