After three generations of E V-12’s, the mad scientists at Brabus have once again created a Frankenstein E-Class. Wrapped in a skin of matte black paint with sinister bodywork and powered by a heart from hell, this E class will be known to children as the “monster in the garage”.
Based on the latest generation Mercedes Benz E-Class, the E V-12 “Black Baron” is one of the most powerful sedans in the world with a brutal 800 hp and 1,047 lb-ft. of torque. Surgically implanted into the Brabus E V-12 is a specially designed 6.3-liter SV12 R Biturbo 800 engine developed from the 5.5-liter V-12 normally found in the Mercedes 600 models. Using a new crankshaft with a longer stroke, bigger pistons, and a cylinder with a larger bore, the displacement is increased from 5.5 to 6.3 liters. Brabus developed a new twin-turbo system for the E V-12, employing four water-to-air intercoolers and two custom manifolds. New electronics, special sport camshafts, and cylinder heads further increase power. Thunderous roars echo from the high performance exhaust system featuring free flow metal catalysts.
New aerodynamic bodywork allows the Brabus E V-12 to cut through air and creates a menacing guise. The carbon fiber body conversion kit is completely functional reducing aerodynamic lift for both the front and rear axles, and supplying air to cool components. Giving the E V-12 greater stability is a widened track as well as a new spoiler, rear diffuser, and unique “Speed Spads” over the rear wheels. Nineteen-inch Brabus Monoblock Q wheels are standard with tires supplied by Pirelli and Yokohama.
Custom developed for the devilish E V-12 is an adjustable coil-over suspension allowing ride height, compression, and rebound rates to be changed. A five-speed automatic transmission has been reinforced to handle the immense muscle from the 6.3-liter V-12. Stopping the beast are vented and grooved steel brake discs measuring 15 x 1.5 inches up front and 14.2 x 1.1 inches in the rear.
A blend of alcantara and black leather cloaks the interior of the E V-12, covering the headliner, dashboard, door trim, and custom front and rear seats. Square patterned leather adorns the floor using miles of thread. Matte-black carbon fiber is used to finish the dashboard, door trim, and center console. A limited edition carbon fiber and titanium cell phone is optional from Vertu with production exclusively limited to 1,500 units.
The Brabus E V-12 ensures diabolical performance from the 6.3-liter SV12 R Biturbo 800. Making 800 hp (788 bhp) at 5,500 rpm and 1,047 lb-ft. of torque at just 2,100 rpm, the E V-12 explodes to 62 mph in just 3.7 seconds and is able to reach a top speed of more than 230 mph.
Starting at 498,000 Euros the sinister Brabus E V-12 will be hand built in a limited production run of only ten. A 750 hp version will also be available without cowlings and a rear wing.
