Wildcat 300STR Street-Legal Off-Road Crossover Exposed

Not your average family crossover.

Since QT Services LTD purchased the rights to the Wildcat brand in 2007; the company has launched an extensive development program resulting in versatile and rugged products. The new Wildcat 300STR is the company’s latest – and fiercest – road-legal off-road crossover vehicle.

At the heart of the 300STR is a new 4.0-liter Rover V-8 engine developing 270 brake horsepower. The new engine is a welcomed revision, giving the 300STR a wider and flatter torque curve for better drivability on both public roads and tough terrain. The Rover V-8 is mated to a five-speed syncromesh transmission with two-speed transfer box and heavy-duty differentials and drive shafts for better performance across any landscape. Capable of a 0-60 mph time of just 5.8 seconds and 100+ mph speeds across harsh terrain, the Wildcat 300STR is an extreme off-road performer.

The 300STR has been developed after years of testing and racing at famous off-road events such as the legendary Dakar Rally to create a road-legal crossover with unmatched off-road prowess. Making the 300STR almost unbreakable is the fully welded tubular steel spaceframe chassis that provides exceptional rigidity. Outfitted with 300 mm (11.8 in.) long travel remote reservoir dampers with matching wound coil springs, the 300STR is able to tackle rough terrain and maintain its poise. For further off-road grip the crossover has been fitted with four 16 x 7 five-spoke Compomotive alloy wheels shod in 235/85 R16 all terrain tires.

While the 300STR may be a skilled off-roader, it is also at home on the tarmac. Inside, the crossover features numerous amenities in addition to the sporty carbon style dash top, SPA analog dashboard, and Motodrive seats with four-point harnesses. Comforts such as air conditioning, i-Pod integration, stereo, bluetooth, and trunk space for a set of golf clubs gives the 300STR a civil temperament when not off-road.

The 300STR is the epitome of road-legal all-terrain performance born out of extreme off-road competition. The mighty crossover is currently available www.qtwildcat.com, and is the only road-legal vehicle offered by Wildcat. For those looking for even more off-road performance Wildcat offers the 400NSR and 500DKR purpose-built competition models.
