Turning up the boost!

One of the full-size luxury sedans that’s often forgotten about it the Maserati Quattroporte. The Italian sedan is arguably the sportiest and most driver-oriented model in the segment and now it’s even better thanks to Novitec Tridente. The new upgrade program includes all sorts of engine tuning, suspension goodies, and clear-coated carbon fiber aero to make it a real performance sedan.

Whether it’s the twin-turbocharged V-6, the twin-turbocharged V-8, or even the first-ever turbodiesel driving the rear or all four wheels in the Quattroporte, Novitec Tridente has a tuning program built for fun. The top-of-the-line 3.8-liter, twin-turbocharged V-8 engine in the Quattroporte GTS gains a new Novitec N-Tronic plug-and-play module that provides new mapping characteristics to boost output from 530 horsepower and 524 lb-ft. of torque up to 605 horsepower and 605 lb-ft. This enables the Quattroporte GTS to scoot to 62 mph in just 4.4 seconds while top speed gets pushed back to 197.6 mph.

In the rear- or all-wheel drive Maserati Quattroporte S with its potent twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine, Novitec Rosso was able to turn up the power considerably as well. The N-Tronic auxiliary control unit makes the 410 horsepower, 406 lb-ft. factory output go all the way up to 476 horsepower and 472 lb-ft. of torque from 1,700 to 4,900 RPM. That’s good enough to send the all-wheel drive Quattroporte S Q4 reach 62 mph from rest in just 4.5 seconds.

Novitec Tridente even gave the Quattroporte Diesel some loving too. The 3.0-liter turbodiesel V-6 engine also benefits from the Novitec N-Tronic tuning module and goes from 275 horsepower and 443 lb-ft. up to 322 horsepower and 501 lb-ft. from just 2,200 RPM. With the upgrade, the sprint to 62 mph takes just 5.7 seconds – a whopping 0.7 seconds less than the factory model.

With all the added power, the Novitec Tridente Maserati Quattroporte had to look the part. So, the German tuning company designed a full clear-coated carbon fiber aerodynamic kit. The front fascia boasts a new front spoiler that generates some extra downforce while new side sills lend to a sleeker and lower profile. At the rear is a new trunk-mounted spoiler lip that works to generate downforce at the rear axle for better stability and control at triple-digit speeds.

To finish the exterior transformation, the Novitec Tridente Maserati Quattroporte was outfitted with a new set of the NM1 forged wheels. The one-piece, five double-spoke wheels measure 9.0J x 22 up front and 11.0J x 22 at the rear and are equipped with 255/30 ZR 22 and 315/25 ZR 22 Pirelli P Zero high-performance tires for added grip. Customers can opt for finishes ranging from matte black, silver, titanium, and titanium with polished surfaces for the NM1 wheels on the Quattroporte or Ghibli. The finishing touch is a new sports suspension for rear-wheel drive Quattroporte variants with variable height, compression, and rebound characteristics. Owners of the Quattroporte S Q4 all-wheel drive model can opt for the sport springs that lower the ride height by 35 mm.

The complete Novitec Tridente Maserati Quattroporte upgrade program is available for the entire model range and also includes the option for a custom-tailored interior. The prices for the performance kits start at 1,290 Euros, the aerodynamic kit for 3,120 Euros, and the complete wheel sets for 3,980 Euros.
