Founded in 1981 by Uwe Gemballa, Gemballa GmbH is a Leonberg, Germany-based tuning company that specializes in Porsche automobiles. Gemballa GmbH received numerous awards and held two records for the fastest lap times for a road car at the Nürburgring. In 2010, company founder, Uwe Gemballa, was reported missing in South Africa, and was later found murdered. Since then, the company has re-launched under new management with plans to expand and develop the brand as an automobile manufacturer.
