SpeedKore Performance’s 1,650-hp monster.
The 1970 Dodge Charger is the quintessential American muscle car, but SpeedKore’s 1970 Charger “Tantrum” is just pure earth-shattering American power. The restomod Charger is simply out of this world with its updated modifications and big, bad twin-turbocharged V-8 spinning its HRE S104 forged wheels.
The long, low body of the Dodge Charger Tantrum features various carbon fiber aerodynamic body work that flows into gloss black paint that is perfect for the dark, sinister nature of the muscle car. Quad LED headlights sit inside of a milled aluminum grille while a domed and vented hood sits above.
Beneath the monster hood sits an even more diabolical sight – a 9.0-liter, twin-turbocharged Mercury Racing V-8 QC4v crate engine that throws down the asphalt-shredding hammer. A total of 1,650 horsepower is sent through the Tremec six-speed manual gearbox with custom carbon fiber shifter.
The insurmountable task of controlling that power falls on the HRE S104 forged wheels. The three-piece wheels sit tucked beneath the fenders in a wide 8.5 x 19 front with 2.5-inch lip and 12.0 x 20 rear with 4.0-inch lip setup. The HRE S104 forged wheels also wear a custom Polished Clear outer and Satin Black inner finish with Brushed Dark Clear centers that perfectly compliment the sharp black paint of the Tantrum.
Sitting behind the Michelin-wearing HRE S104 forged wheels are huge 14-inch Baer brakes that have the job of bringing the old-school Charger Tantrum to a halt.
Ripping up pavement and turning tires into smoke is something that will never get old, and this 1970 Dodge Charger Tantrum with HRE S104 forged wheels will be leading the way.
