G-Power M3 Tornado CS / G-Power M3 GT2 S Exposed

Two M3 Clubsport models that pay tribute to the BMW Works team.

At the beginning of 2010, G-Power launched a new Motorsport Division to cater to the company’s motorsport customers. The division produces both road-legal and racing models complete with the necessary equipment for private racing teams. The first models produced by the Motorsport division were showcased at the 2010 24-hour race at the Nürburgring. The G-Power M3 GT2 S provides customers with a road-legal racing-inspired M3 to compete with the likes of the Porsche GT3 RS. For those looking for a more polished and smoother M3, G-Power has also unveiled the M3 Tornado CS.

Pumping up the power on both models is the SK II CS supercharger system. Utilizing an ASA T1-522 radial compressor, the system supplies the V-8 with 0.5 BAR (7.25 PSI) of boost pressure. Cool air is sucked in through a bright orange dual-flow carbon air intake and through the cast aluminum charge air cooler. To help eliminate much of the backpressure and shed 57 pounds, G-Power has fitted a full titanium exhaust with 2 x 100 dcpi catalytic converters. The result is an intense 600 horsepower and 427 lb-ft of torque for both models. The considerable power increase helps launch the GT2 S to 62 mph in just 4.1 seconds, while the Tornado CS takes 4.3 seconds and hits 124 mph in only 11.8 seconds. Depending on the transmission choice, both models are capable of reaching 199 mph (manual) and 205 mph (DCT).

To handle such high speeds and shed weight, G-Power has fitted new carbon fiber bodywork to both models. The motorsport-inspired GT2 S wears a full carbon body kit similar to the GT2 racecar design. The kit features carbon front and rear bumpers, front lip, rear spoiler, flared fenders, and four wings that improve aerodynamics and reduce weight. The Tornado CS wears less carbon fiber bodywork, sporting a front carbon spoiler lip and rear diffuser with integrated running lights to reduce aerodynamic lift.

Ensuring that both models can achieve tremendous levels of grip is a new wheel and suspension package. G-Power’s Silverstone Clubsport 20-spoke forged alloy wheels measuring 9 x 20 inches at the front and 10.5 x 20 inches are fitted to the Tornado CS and wear 255/30 ZR 20 and 295/25 ZR 20 Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The GT2 S is fitted with even lighter forged Silverstone RS three-piece wheels. The wide 9 x 20 front and 11.5 x 20 wheels wear 245/30 R 20 and 315/25 R 20 Michelin Sport Cup tires to stick to the tarmac. To improve handling on both models, G-Power has installed the Clubsport suspension package. Consisting of independently adjustable coilovers, a front and rear axle stabilizer kit, and support bearings, the package allows drivers to create an optimum track setup.

The interiors of each M3 provide drivers with a race-oriented atmosphere. In both models, the front seats are replaced with carbon fiber bucket seats that shed 53 pounds and provide superb lateral support. In the GT2 S, the rear seats are removed to further reduce weight to 3306 pounds. G-Power orange alcantara and leather applications are also fitted to the GT2 S, and feature contrasting blue stitching.

Both motorsport-bred M3 models are available through G-Power’s new Motorsport Division. Pricing for the complete GT2 S beings at € 139,495.00 (+/- 173,000 USD) plus tax, while the SK II CS supercharger system can be ordered separately for € 10,800 (+/- 13,000 USD) plus tax, titanium exhaust, and installation.
