Mansory Porsche Cayenne Broad Version Exposed

The new Cayenne flexes its turbo muscles.

It was only a matter of time before the Mansory Switzerland, the Porsche, BMW, and Range Rover specialist Mansory subsidiary, took on the newest Porsche Cayenne Turbo. For the new generation, Mansory built upon their two previous carbon-clad Cayenne models, and developed a tuning program that showcased lightweight carbon fiber and PU-RIM components along with a performance-tuned engine and new forged wheels.

The new Mansory Cayenne Broad Version program has a beefier appearance compared to the stock model. Both the front and rear axles have been extended by 60- and 80 mm respectively, lending to a broad appearance. All of the new components, including those that extend the axles, are made using carbon fiber and high-strength Polyurethane-RIM (PU-RIM) to keep weight at a minimum.

The front fascia of the Mansory Cayenne Broad Version exudes a greater road presence with Mansory’s upgrades. The new front bumper is larger and more aggressive to match the widened stance, and wears new daytime running lights and gaping air inlets. A new carbon fiber hood also emits power, with three large vents that help cool the engine. Carbon fiber side skirts and mirror covers adorn both sides of the SUV, while the rear wears a new bumper, diffuser, taillight surrounds, and roof and trunk spoilers.

Underneath that carbon fiber ventilated hood is a tuned 4.8-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 dressed in, you guessed it, carbon fiber. The stock 500 horsepower and 516 lb-ft. was nowhere close to what Mansory was able to extract from the forced induction V-8. The engine department installed bigger turbochargers, a stainless steel exhaust with quad tips, and retuned the engine electronics to push output to a monstrous 690 horsepower and 590 lb-ft. at 4,800 RPM. This helps send the SUV to 62 mph in just 4.4 seconds and to a top speed of 186 mph. Impressive considering that the stock Cayenne still tips the scales at over 4,700 pounds.

Mansory has taken additional measures to lighten the Cayenne and make it more agile other than adding carbon fiber components. New turbine forged monoblock 10 x 22 front and rear wheels have been added with 295/30 R 22 tires to reduce unsprung mass and improve grip. Mansory also offers a range of wheels from 21 to 23 inches in diameter in a number of styles for customers that want a more unique look. To further improve handling, customers can order the sports module for the Cayenne’s air suspension, which can lower the SUV by 45 mm.

The German company has not released pricing for the new Mansory Cayenne Broad Version. The Swiss subsidiary can also custom tailor the interior to the customer’s wishes for a truly unique driving experience.
