It was only a matter of time before Mansory got a hold of the new Ferrari 458 Italia and gave it some German engineering. Named after the legendary racetrack in Sicily, the Siracusa is built at Mansory company headquarters in Brand, Germany. The complete program gives the 458 a fierce, downforce-inducing appearance, coupled with breathtaking performance and a comfortable interior.
The new Mansory Siracusa bodywork developed for the Ferrari 458 Italia is about more than stunning looks. Underneath the bright paint are ultra-light carbon components. Ferrari already uses carbon fiber extensively in the 458’s construction, but Mansory has taken the carbon construction it to a new level. All body components are replaced with OEM-quality carbon counterparts, saving over 150 lbs. in weight.
The new Siracusa is undoubtedly a Mansory creation. The front fascia stands out compared to the production 458 Italia with a new front apron and hood that generate downforce and provide better ventilation. Air is also sent to the mid-mounted engine by new aerodynamically optimized side skirts and air ducts. At the rear of the Mansory Siracusa is a large rear carbon fiber wing that works in conjunction with the new diffuser to vastly increase rear downforce and stability. The rear window also gets the carbon fiber treatment with new blades replacing the window to complete the aerodynamic transformation.
Mansory’s focus was also on upgrading the suspension to improve the Siracusa’s handling even further. The stock suspension has been replaced with new sports anti-shocks and progressively-wound lowering springs that reduce ride height by 20 mm and give the 458 more precise handling. The German tuner also fitted new wheels and tires to reduce unsprung mass and showcase the racing character of the Siracusa. The supercar boasts large 9 x 20 front and 11 x 21 rear center-locking forged wheels paired with 245/35 ZR 20 front and 305/30 ZR 21 Michelin PS2 tires for greater grip.
The Mansory Siracusa hides a potent V-8 behind the front seats that has undergone some German tweaking. The 4.5-liter has been modified with new sport air filters, a sport exhaust, and retuned engine management system to send output to 590 horsepower and 413 lb-ft. of torque. The increased power reduces the 0-62 mph acceleration time to just 3.2 seconds, while top speed is increased to 205 mph.
Inside, Mansory gives customers the option to completely redesign the interior through the in-house upholstery department. The dashboard, seats, and trim can be finished in fine leather, ultra-suede, and carbon for a sporty and luxurious feel. Mansory has also designed a new airbag steering wheel with carbon fiber accents for better control.
The Mansory Siracusa Ferrari 458 Italia made its debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. The complete program is currently available from the German tuning company. Pricing has not been released for the complete package or individual components.
